The Phases Of A Turtle In High School "My favorite animal is the turtle. The reason is that in order for the turtle to move, it has to stick its neck out. There are going to be times in your life when you’re going to have to stick your neck out. There will be challenges and instead of hiding in a shell, you have to go out and meet them." I'd say this quote best described our "first day of High School jitters" four years ago when we entered into the next phase of our lives, otherwise known as Bethlehem Catholic. Like a turtle, we began our freshman year inside of our shells. None of us knew what to expect in High School besides the rumor of "the pool on the third floor". All of the girls walked into homeroom with skirts that reached their knees and the boys were all cleanly shaven (if they even had facial hair yet). This was the year to create a flawless GPA and obtain exceptional study habits. We would come to know the spiritual kind hearted Mr. Grasso who could brighten up your day just with a smile and a high five, and the strict but understanding Mrs. People's who could silence a room just by the look on her face. Sister Margaret would teach us the "Ro Co Co" song for remembering the books to the New Testament and Mrs. Redding would teach us that life isn't just about the perfect test grade.
