The United States was not justified in using the atomic bomb to end world war two because not only did they end several innocent lives by dropping the bomb, but they also had no real reason to attack them since Japan had no more allies and resources and were already planning to surrender. The United States ended up killing innocent children and people when the bombs were dropped. The bombs were dropped in the middle of civilian cities that were home of a large majority of innocent civilians. Most of the people that had to pay for the war were civilians that had no type of power or say in the decision and involvement of the war. Not only did the bomb affect those that lost their lives but the bomb also affected the land, and the people of Japan for generations that came after. Henry Lewis Stimson spoke about Japan not having any type of alliances, Navy, and that Japans island were already under naval blockade and its cities were undergoing several attacks on them. America knew that Japan would soon surrender not because of the bombs but because of the lack of resources they had and also the threats that were made against them by the Soviet Union to declare war against them. When the bombs were dropped the Japanese economy was already plummeting to the ground, due to the United States constant fire attacks. When America finally decided to drop the bombs Japan did not have a navy, and very little of their army was left, they also had very little supply and resources left. Before the bombs had dropped Japan was ready to surrender to America but was dismissed by President Truman up until they were dropped. I believe that the U.S. used the atomic bombs in the wrong moment but also in very wrong
