The 2012 Computer Trends

1. Touchscreen PCs with Window 8:

Microsoft’s new OS Window 8 is expected to launch in October 2012, but there are still speculation revolving around about its release. It’s likely that in few months you will be seeing Window 7 products in the market with a tag saying ‘Windows 8 ready’. Only by the end of this year or may be in starting of 2013 we will get a chance to see an actual Window 8 running device.

There are rumors that HP Slate 8 might be the first tablet to have the Window 8 OS, but there are not details about its release date or price details.

2. When Intel high-end CPUs Hits Market:

At CES 2012 Intel was mum about its next generation of CPUs which are dubbed as Ivy Bridge. We hope that even if there is a short delay the Intel's higher-end third generation Core i series of CPUs will become a standard in all new desktops and laptops before this Christmas. The history of market trends shows that there will be a lot of improved mainstream parts in the market after the Intel’s high-end CPU hit the stores.

3. A Refresh to MacBook and Mac Pro:

From the past three we haven’t seen any change in MacBook Pros design and we surely expect a refreshed model of MacBook from Apple this year. With the new Intel high-end processors we can dream of a slimmer and more powerful Pro model or a hybrid of Pro and Air is also a possibility.

It’s for sure that there will be a major update in MacBook Air as Apple will be having the idea of how Intel’s Ivy Bridge processor will make the ultrabooks grab more market pie.

4. The Buzz of Ultrabooks:

2012 is going to the year of ultrabook, these evolved forms of laptops which calls themselves as ultrabooks are the trend setters of this year. These laptops are sleek, speedy and light weight; some of them carry the Intel patented tag which makes them an ultrabook officially.

There are a few others with the same look and feel of an ultrabook but doest fulfills all the criteria of Intel. The wide screened Samsung Series 9, the convertible tablet Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga and the thinnest ultrabook Acer Aspire S5 are few such laptops which create confusion when talking about ultrabooks.

5. New High-end GPUs from Nvidia:

The gap between computers without dedicated graphics cards and those with them is increasing. The present breed of ultrabook has Intel’s integrated graphics which handles HD video and gives good quality gaming experience; the price, space, and the battery consumption are the main reasons to skip the separate GPU in these new laptops.

When Nvidia is determined to make more and more powerful GPUs like new GeForce GTX 680 and GeForce 640M we can see a few new dedicated gaming desktops and ultrabooks with these high-end graphic processors in this year.

Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga

Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga was first showcased at CES 2012. The company treats this convertible device first as a laptop and second as a tablet. It simply flips 360 degree and converts itself into a tablet from a laptop. The device features a 3-inch touchscreen with 1,600x900-pixel resolution, 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of SSD storage, weighs just 1.4 kilogram and has a thickness 0.67 inch. Powered by Intel’s third generation processor Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga runs on Window 8 operating system and is supposed to reach the market by the end of this year.

Pros: Its dual-hinge design makes it sturdier than the single-hinge convertible tablet PCs. Its unique design allows it to stand like a tent, making it to use like a tablet with stand. The leather covered palmrest give better grip when its transforms into a tablet.

Cons: It is quite hefty with its 1.47kg mass which acts as a drawback when you are using it as a tablet. This IdeaPad Yoga is going to be pricy for sure with the latest touch-enabled Window 8 OS and all those twist n turns

...Composite volcanoes, also called strato volcanoes, are formed by alternating layers of lava and rock fragments.  This is the reason they are called composite.   Strato-volcanoes often form impressive, snow-capped peaks which are often exceeding 2500m in height, 1000sq.km in surface, and 400km3 in volume. Between eruptions they are often so quiet they seem extinct.  To witness the start of a great eruption requires luck or very careful surveillance. Composite volcanoes usually erupt in an explosive way.  This is usually caused by viscous magma.  When very viscous magma rises to the surface, it usually clogs the craterpipe, and gas in the craterpipe gets locked up. Therefore, the pressure will increase resulting in an explosive eruption.   Although strato-volcanoes are usually large and conical, we can distinguish different shapes of them: concave (like Agua), pyramidal (like Stromboli), convex-concave (like Vesuvius), helmet-shaped (like Mount Rainier), collapse caldera (like Graciosa), nested (like El Piton in Teide), multiple summits (like Shasta), elongated along a fissure (like Hekla). Strato-volcanoes are constructed along subduction zones.  Examples of composite volcanoes include Mount Hood, Mount Rainier, Mount      Shield volcanoes are huge in size.  They are built by many layers of runny lava flows. Lava spills out of a central vent or group of vents.  A broad shaped, gently sloping cone is formed.  This is caused by the very fluid, basaltic lava which can't be piled...

Factor Affecting Study Habit

...Study habits are the ways that you study - the habits that you have formed during your school years. Study habits can be good ones, or bad ones. Good study habits include being organized, keeping good notes, reading your textbook, listening in class, and working every day. Bad study habits include skipping class, not doing your work, watching TV or playing video games instead of studying, and losing your work.  The manner with which you consistently use to study for school or college or even for next day lesson plans if you're a teacher. It means you are not distracted by anything, you have a certain place to go where it is quiet everyday where you study and do homework. To gain insight into the problem, library instruction environments of nineteen high schools were explored. The schools were selected based on whether their graduates did well or poorly on information-skills assignments integrated in a required first-year college course. The librarians in the nineteen schools were asked to characterize their working relationships with teachers, estimate their students’ information-literacy achievement, and provide data on their staffing and budgets. Findings suggest that school librarians are seldom in a position to adequately collaborate with teachers and that their opportunities to help students achieve information literacy are limited. Introduction The study reported in this paper was inspired by observations made by students in the Master’s in Library and Information Science...

Factors Affecting the Study Habits

...Research is the investigation of a particular topic using a variety of reliable, scholarly resources. The three major goals of research are establishing facts, analyzing information, and reaching new conclusions. The three main acts of doing research are searching for, reviewing, and evaluating information. What are the characteristics of a good researcher? A good researcher will be able to extract relevant information from large amounts of info. Complete research will have a) the core information, or sets of core information, which together answers the question (problem) directly, and b) the contextual information, which determines whether or not the core research is applicable to given circumstances. That is, the research must be relevant!  Good research is that which paints a complete picture, but not so bogged down with detail ast to detract from the overall picture - i.e. the solution to given problem. The researcher should also be able to convey the research in an accessible format, that is the research must be easy to make use of. This might mean illustrating hundreds and hundres of numbers, for e.g the ages of women working in childcare, into categories of relevance such as the region they live in or their ethnic background, depending on the question being asked. They are one of the most inspiring people not only in school but also within our nation. They help us to achieve our goals and dreams in life, and the ones who shape every person’s character. We consider them as our second parents who guide and lead us to the right path. And it truly proves that all educators are such a magnificent person. Factors Affecting Study Habits on Elementary

...To my visitors, friends, teachers, pastors, ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon. I appreciate your presence in the one of my memorable happenings in my life. I’m so glad you all can witness how I’ve been nurtured and cared by my school. Firstly, I want to thank my parents for their incomparable effort to me in order to make me achieve the knowledge and wisdom I need. I don’t know how I can repay them for what they did to me, but I know that they taught me, because they truly love me. But most of all I thank them for raising me in a Godly life. I have known from them that my knowledge in the world is vain, and the true wisdom is from God’s Word. Secondly, I want to thank God for my classmates in school. Although sometimes, there are little, creepy strife that divides us, but still remained being my friends. I may not be the best-friend in the world, but I know that I will be your friend all the time. Thirdly, I want to thank my teacher from guiding me to the right path. I learned from her that quitting is not an option for me to have finished the elementary, unless I must strive to work even when it is sometimes hard. Fourthly, I want to thank my pastor for preaching me God’s Word. In him I learned that life in this world is truly short, and must not invest treasures and vain things in this world. Unless, I must lay everlasting treasures in Heaven. I realized that now I’m entering the high-school, but I feel like its just yesterday I’m a pre-school. That’s why I want...
