What makes a movie a great movie? Many different aspects contribute to the significance of a movie, for example, the characters. The actors and actresses display how they think the characters would react to different scenarios. Each character has their own personality type and in most cases their own familial archetype. The movie “Spiderman”, a great example of character having familial archetype, because the aunt represents the mother, the uncle portrays the wise old man, Peter resembles the hero, and the goblin symbolizes the sorcerer.

Ben, Peter’s uncle fulfills the familial archetype of the wise old man. Ben frequently tries to give advice and wisdom to succeed. He also provides the guidance that Peter needs to get through hard times, because they do not have very much money. Ben tried to give Peter guidance to get help him cope with the fact that his parents had died. Peter uses the motivation from his uncle to save everyone in the end. He provides Peter with the wisdom needed. Peter’s uncle Ben definitely fills the shoes of the familial archetype “the wise old man”. Peter Parker clearly resembles the hero in the movie “Spiderman”. He shows his hero qualities in various way, for example he saves a lot of people. He saves Mary Jane in multiple different circumstances. A hero also does not save people for the fame, they do it to help people, so they conceal their identity, just like Peter does. A hero has no fear and will do whatever it takes to save and help people, which definitely represents Peter. Peter possesses all of the features of a hero. He definitely embodies the role of a
