The style of music that they play is reggae with a mix of hip hop, ska punk, and So Cal style. They were the main event but Pyrex and Ease Up also performed during the concert. During the concert, TDH performed a number of amazing songs. My favorite four that they played are as follows; 1. Cabin by The Sea: This was my most favorite song that they played. It is a very mellow and relaxed song. The song is all about having the time of your life by the sea. It’s about relaxing and being yourself around your friends. It’s about expressing yourself and completely being at peace. It paints a picture of a fun night at the beach with your friends and completely being happy. I love that it kept repeating, “Our friends are all around and the storm was an ocean, they say we look better in a black and white photo”. To me, this truly expresses that you don’t have to worry about your troubles at the moment, just take a step back to admire life and have fun and remember it. This song is all about enjoying yourself and relaxing. The tempo of this song is very slow and upbeat, the texture was polyphony and the melody was soothing. It turns out having free time, computer skills, and some rhythm are all you need, well some computer First you'll need some great to get started. The first thing you need is a computer. A lot of dubstep is the sound effects. You need a fast computer with a lot of memory. If you want a Mac, make sure it has 1.8 GHz, with an Intel Processor 2-4 GB of RAM and is OSX 10.5 or later. If you want a PC, make sure it has 2GHz Pentium or Celeron processor 2-4 GB or RAM Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7 a sound card with ASIO driver support. Next you'll need a music software, my favorite is GarageBand. The music software is used to prepare tracks, sample songs, mix and record. Other popular software is Fruity Loops, Cakewalk Sonar, and Renoise. You should strongly consider adding external hardware to the setup. Having a basic USB mic on hand to record vocals or raps is a good idea and good way to create new sounds to use. In my study I wanted to find out what people liked more in music the lyrics or the artist, and with that in mind I wanted to narrow my thoughts on to why do people hear certain songs and what does it mean to them? Song lyrics have more importance for some than for others as in the general populous (Buser, Flannery, Bentley & Gladding, 2005, p. 90). I want to know how important are those lyrics and its messages are to the general music hearing population. Buser, Flannery, Bentley & Gladding conducted a study by surveying 28 graduate students in counseling on the meaning of lyrical music in their lives. Their results showed that some songs were more popular or better remembered than others. Their data also showed that while some lyrics are personally meaningful and others conveyed important messages, a number of lyrics are just relaxing, joyful, and entertaining without a deeper level of significance to them. ...I got the chance to see one of my favorite bands, Young the Giant, at a venue called The Tabernacle in Atlanta, Georgia. Young the Giant consists of five members – Sameer Gadhia, (lead vocals, plays piano, guitar, and tambourine), Jacob Tilley (guitarist), François Comtois (drummer and back-up vocals), Payam Doostzadeh (bass guitarist and back-up vocals), and Eric Cannata (guitarist and back-up vocals).
