Policies

Helping Hands has Two Lists - The Main List & The Waiting List

The Main List - children currently needing sponsors. This is the list that our sponsors will see. The children on this list are the ones currently seeking sponsors. Note: This list is usually always full.

The Waiting List - children who are waiting for spots to open up on The Main List. This is a list of all the families waiting to get sponsored. Note: There is always room available on this list.

Helping Hands requires that all participating families submit some type of proof of hardship. Sending a picture to us is the best way to do things. We accept any past due bill or shut off notice for essential items, including but not limited to, electric, water or gas. All items must be dated within the past month. We ask that your family name be somewhere on the item being sent.

Helping Hands' only accepts children between the ages of 0 and 17.

Whenever we have room on our Main List for your family, Helping Hands will be contacting you to provide individual photos of each child being put on the list. Please do not include any photos of your child with electronics, guns, or other people. Photos with these items will not be accepted.

We require that every child has a wish list. The wish list will be posted with your child's picture. This gives our sponsors an idea of what each child needs or wants. The list cannot go over ten or be less than ten.

Once your children have been placed on our Main List, Helping Hands will not change anything on their lists except clothing sizes.

If you have more than one child, we will not put your family on the main list until we have room for every child. In most cases we will hold off on adding any other people until there is enough room for every child in your family.

In the event that your child is sponsored helping hands will be giving out your home address so the individual can ship the items to your home.

You have the right to cancel your request with Helping Hands at any time. However, Helping Hands has up to 72 hours to process the request.

Helping Hands is not responsible for choosing sponsors for anyone. Our sponsors all do this of their own free will. We do not require anyone to do anything, and we cannot make the process of sponsorship go any faster.

In the event that your child is sponsored, we require that a picture be sent of the gifts when they come to your home and a photo of your children, with the gifts, on the day they open their gifts. We want to provide insurance to our sponsors that your child has received his or her gifts.

If you are seen on another site asking for help, Helping Hands has the right to remove your family from our Lists, and you will be banned from all of our pages and website.
Our Promise

Helping Hands will never give out your personal information to anyone who is not sponsoring your family. The records are sealed for our professional use only.

In the event that someone requests more information on your child, we will always ask your permission first. Helping Hands will never make any decisions regarding your family. If you do not consent, the request will never again be asked.

Helping Hands will never call you at home unless there is a problem and we have exhausted every option.

When Helping Hands says your child will be added to our Wait List, we mean it. The spot can never get pushed back, only pushed forward.

Helping Hands will not remove your child from our Main List or Waiting List until a sponsor is found.

If your child is on our Main List and does not get a sponsor by the deadline, the members of helping hands will come together and make sure your child still receives something for the holidays. Your child WILL get something this holiday season.

Disclaimers

Helping Hands does not guarantee anyone a position on the Main List. We are currently trying to get over a hundred children sponsored before the holiday season. We only add so many children to our Main List at a time, so sponsors do not get over whelmed.

Every person who fills out an application will be given a spot on our waiting list. As families continue becoming sponsored your family will move up the list, they will never move back. It is our goal to get your children on our Main List, but it is not guaranteed.

If your family were to be sponsored, Helping Hands is not responsible for any lost or damaged items.

Sponsors have the right to purchase as many items as they please. Sponsors have the right to purchase all ten items, or only one item off your child's list. They also have the right to send items not listed on the list that they feel your child may like.

In the event that your child does not receive all the items on his or her list, Helping Hands cannot do anything about it. It is your sponsor's choice to decide how much he or she will send.

Helping Hand is not responsible for the items the sponsors choose.

Only children who make it onto the Helping Hands for the Holidays Main List will be eligible for a sponsor. If your child does not make it onto the Main List, it is not Helping Hands responsibility to provide him or her with a gift for the holiday season.

Helping Hands does not refuse any person. We will not remove your child from any of our Lists unless our policies are broken. Helping Hands is dedicated to helping and respecting you, but we deserve your respect as well.

Electronic Signatures

Helping Hands for the Holidays is an online based program. Everything is done electronically, including the signatures. In the event of any problems, your electronic signature is just as legally binding as a written one.
