...Kayla Ferguson 5th period 5/10/2011 Reflective Paper When I came into Communication Application, I didn’t know anything about it, or what it had to do with my daily life. But for the past three six weeks I’ve been in the class, it has really informed me about the many ways of communicating. During the first few weeks of class we quickly started to jump into the lesson. First we learned about communicating with our body language. We had to show many different ways of facial expressions, eye contact, gesture, posture, and movements dealing with our body. After doing it for awhile, I really grasped on to it. A couple of weeks later, we learned things about dealing with interference, such as physical, semantic, and psychological noises. That was super hard to understand the differences between the three! But I learned and understood it after a few lessons, and quickly embraced it, using it in the real world. Around the end of the second month in the communication class, the class went into talking about the communication process. It stated, and talked about the point of sending a message, receiving a message, and giving feedback from which you get from the message that was being sent to you. Learning all these different ways to communicate was a blessing, but the one I most benefitted from was the lesson about stage fright. It talked about the certain things you should do to overcome having fear in front of people. That particular lesson thought me how to stand up...

...Case Solutions Fundamentals of Corporate Finance Ross, Westerfield, and Jordan 9th edition CHAPTER 1 THE McGEE CAKE COMPANY 1. The advantages to a LLC are: 1) Reduction of personal liability. A sole proprietor has unlimited liability, which can include the potential loss of all personal assets. 2) Taxes. Forming an LLC may mean that more expenses can be considered business expenses and be deducted from the company’s income. 3) Improved credibility. The business may have increased credibility in the business world compared to a sole proprietorship. 4) Ability to attract investment. Corporations, even LLCs, can raise capital through the sale of equity. 5) Continuous life. Sole proprietorships have a limited life, while corporations have a potentially perpetual life. 6) Transfer of ownership. It is easier to transfer ownership in a corporation through the sale of stock. The biggest disadvantage is the potential cost, although the cost of forming a LLC can be relatively small. There are also other potential costs, including more expansive record-keeping. 2. Forming a corporation has the same advantages as forming a LLC, but the costs are likely to be higher. 3. As a small company, changing to a LLC is probably the most advantageous decision at the current time. If the company grows, and Doc and Lyn are willing to sell more equity ownership, the company can reorganize as a corporation at a later date. Additionally, forming a LLC is likely to...

...I m going to tell how the automobile has done a complete turn around. Starting with the steam engine powered carriage that was developed in 1769. Then moving to 1832 when the first electric carriage was developed. In 1885 the first gasoline powered three wheel vehicle was developed by Karl Friedrich Benz. This led to Gottilieb Wilhelm Daimler building the first four wheel powered car in 1886. These two great minds later combined in 1926 to form Mercedes-Benz corporation. 1913 was a big advancement in the car being produced. Henry Ford produced the Model T on the first assembly line. He was not only responsible for the assembly line but also for the five day eight hour a day work week . His famous saying was “Any customer can have a car painted any color that he wants as long as it is black”. The reason for black only cars was because it was easier to make on the assembly line. Fast forward to 1996 GM developed the EV1 total electrical vehicle, other car makers like Toyota, Ford got on board to build electrical cars. This was done as a test program in California. California built charging stations throughout the state. This program was scraped after three years of testing, because the battery production companies where sold to Chevron Oil Company. Which was a conflict in gasoline production. In 1999 Honda built the insight hybrid car. This car got 61mpg in the city and 70mpg on the highway. The insight was built for 7 years, and later brought back into production in...

Emotional intelligence consists of four attributes: Self-awareness – You recognize your own emotions and how they affect your thoughts and behavior, know your strengths and weaknesses, and have self-confidence. ...Learning Team Reflection QNT/351 1/22/2014 The way we would formally set up the hypothesis test is to formulate two hypotheses, one that describes our prediction and one that describes all the other possible outcomes with respect to the hypothesized relationship. By formulate your prediction (directional or not), and then we formulate a second hypothesis that is mutually exclusive of the first and incorporates all possible alternative outcomes for that BIMS case. In the first study, the process was plagued by data coding and entry problems, as well as some problems with the construction of the questionnaire, which together compromised the data integrity and yielded some disappointing results. However, the quantitative analysis of the data from the first study also provided some useful lessons learned from the process, which prepared the organization to undertake a more concrete quantitative analysis in a subsequent. The first step was to write the null hypothesis (H0), then write the alternative hypothesis (H1). We also set the alpha level (amount of error allowed) and determine degrees of outcomes. We Picked & calculate the significance test that fits our design. Last step was to accept or reject the null. Taking a closer look at the concrete quantitative analysis and the several degrees of outcomes we picked and calculated the appropriate significance test; as we discover interesting results that helps us formulate different conclusions about BIMS testing...
