The life of Human beings originated on the planet Earth .The “Mother Earth” is calling us for her protection. People have become selfish and they are killing the beautiful forests, damming the rivers and making more concrete walls without even realizing that by doing these activities, they are giving invitation to the termination of their own existence.
Our earth is burning from both ends as the river beds are running dry. The plants and mammals are like us-living things. The biggest challenge that our earth is facing today is ‘global warming’, the glaciers are melting, sea level is rising, & the climate is changing on a fast pace. So, we must help to save them all.
World Earth Day is celebrated all over the world annually on 22nd April. This time; it will be the 40th anniversary of World Earth Day. |
Origin
It was first launched by honest efforts of the US senator Gaylord Nelson on April 22, 1970 from Wisconsin along with Denis Hayes as the main organizer of the activities for the grand event.
It is really heartening to know that even at the commencement of the Earth Day; approximately twenty million demonstrators of America participated in the opening of the wonderful celebration of Earth Day with the main goal to find ways for making the earth clean, healthy and sustainable. Since then, various countries have followed this as a part of main celebrations across the globe.
