...Financial support for MSME in Bangladesh The SMEs worldwide are recognized as the most effective vehicle for sustainable economic growth. In Bangladesh , a sustainable level of development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs ) is highly needed to reach the targets set by The United Nations (UN) in the millennium Development Goals (MDGs) to alleviate poverty . This urgency is reflected in the Government’s pro-poor policies, especially in the poverty reduction strategy paper (PRSP) . Small and Medium Enterprises in Bangladesh have recently been considered as an important vehicles of poverty reduction strategy. For the first time, the comprehensive Industrial Policy 2005 highlighted SME development as a flagship policy area for balanced and sustainable industrial development in Bangladesh. Availability of finance is thought to be a major constraint to formation and growth of SMEs in Bangladesh. Banks are reluctant to expand their SME credit portfolio because they do not consider SME lending an attractive and profitable undertaking. This is so because SMEs are regarded as high risk borrowers because of their low capitalization, insufficient assets and their inability to comply with collateral requirements of the banks. Administrative costs are also higher because close monitoring and supervision the SME operation becomes necessary. Despite all these facts banks and financial institutions have been providing finance to the SME sector and the volume of finance is showing...

...In order for an individual to receive effective support and achieve positive outcomes they should have effective working relationships- more than often a support worker will have the most beneficial working relationship, as they offer domestic, financial, emotional and social aspects of support and can often (from being around the individual) identify signs of relapse as they are around to monitor their wellbeing. It is even more beneficial if the support worker can work alongside the family to assist with having better formed relationships - many of our citizens' family relationships have broken down since they have ill mental health, so the support worker can assist with understanding when building and maintaining that relationship. ...Minnesota State Arts Board, which is a state agency that simulates and encourages the creation, performance, and appreciation of arts in the state. We also have Partners in Arts Participation, which is a pilot grant program designed to broaden opportunities for Minnesotans to participate in the arts. Another program we have is called K-12 Arts Challenge Minnesota Grant, which is a noncompetitive grant program and funds are given out first come first serve. I do feel that we have enough support in Minnesota. The programs I named were just a few of the many programs we have to support art in the cities. I do however think people here need to be more supportive of children in arts. It is important to get them started at a young age and many people do not feel that art is important. I think it helps to expand a child’s way of thinking and it helps them to excel in other areas, because they know if something doesn’t work one way it’s time to take a new approach. My role in the creation and support of art in my community is very small and could get better. I do however start with my son, just like my parents did as well as my in-laws, at a very young age. I like to take him to the different places and help him to explore many of the opportunities we have in the state. It is important to me that I give him all the opportunities that I possibly can and let him experience art and life they way he should,...

...The effects of job and personal resources on hotel employees’ work engagement. Introduction This study developed and tested a research model, which predicted the impacts of job (supervisor support) and personal resources (trait competitiveness and self-efficacy) on work engagement. Purpose and rationale First, empirical evidence in the research stream of work engagement in the tourism and hospitality literature is meager. Second, in contradistinction to other researches our research focused on develoving sub-Saharan African countries, Nigeria not Western countries Third, our study findings ( such as employee retention) can be useful for managers in the hotel industry. Theoretical foundations, hypotheses, and research model * Backround * Work overload to be positively related to hotel managers’ burnout ( Perrewe,1991). Female middle managers in the hotel industry are suspectible to higher levels of burnout than male managers (Buick and Thomas 2001) * Salanova et al. (2005) reported that organizational resources, as manifested by training, autonomy, and technology, were significantly and positively related to work engagement among fronline hotel and restaurant employees. The COR theory and the JD-R model The antecedents of work engagement can be examined using the COR ( Conservation of Resources) and the JD-R (Job Demands-Resources) as the theoretical underpinnings * According to the Conservation of Resources (COR) theory, resources are defined...

...family has been supportive of me since birth. As a child I was raised by a single mother along with my older brother and my two older sisters. Although things were difficult at times, my family always cared for me and consistently supported me as I grew older and developed in life. My family has supported me throughout my years of school and studies. They have always encouraged me to do the best I can and to always put as much effort into something as I can. There is no doubt in my mind that my family has always wanted me to succeed, though when I did fail, my family listened to me, took the time to understand how I felt, and then just encouraged me to pick myself back up and to try again. Growing up as the youngest, I was surrounded with support and encouragement from my older siblings. My older sisters spent quality time with me and always swore to protect me. My mother fed and cared for me. She taught me self-respect, self-discipline, and understanding the consequences of my actions while still showing me love every day. My older brother respected me, taught me to drive, and explained to me how to know when a guy was treating me right. My cousins are some of my best friends and have usually encouraged me to do the right thing and always supported me when I needed help. The most important category of people in my life are my family. They have supported and encouraged me every step of my life. When things seem down, they have always been around to help me back up and they are...

...environment; therefore they should not be subject to prejudicial treatment or discrimination from their peers and anyone supporting them. An individual’s background, upbringing and experiences can have an effect on attitudes towards individuals and groups, so it is important to recognise these. Personal prejudices, which may lead to discriminatory practice, can be overcome through developing a greater understanding of diverse groups in society. For example, teaching assistants can overcome these personal prejudices by finding out about the religious beliefs and cultures of the children they support, and by knowing about any special educational needs or disabilities. It is important not to make assumptions about children and young people. Finding out about their backgrounds, interests, abilities and individual needs will help teaching assistants to provide more effective, appropriate and personalised support. It is important that in order to develop children’s self confidence, a concerted effort is made by all those in a position of responsibility to include the pupil. This ranges from making necessary adaptations to facilities for the physically impaired to ensuring that no pupil is subject to discrimination either direct (such as name calling) or indirect (not taking their needs or preferences into account). This unit has afforded me the opportunity to continually promote equality and diversity in my role and that every child should be supported in learning in an inclusive...
