Let me introduce you into the world of Fitbit. There are different models available for purchase however I am going to demonstrate the Fitbit Charge 2. Reasons for buying an activity tracker vary however the most common reason is to help obtain a healthy lifestyle. There are so many features packed in a wristband such as: monitoring your heart rate, monitoring your activity, monitoring your sleep, multi-sport monitoring, and it also provides you with notifications from your smartphone.

The Fitbit Charge 2 is a model that runs in between some of the more expensive models and the lesser expensive models. It also considered one of the slimmer designs than some of the other models although there are other slimmer …show more content…
If the heart rate becomes elevated the Fitbit will notify you that you are in the “fat burning zone”. To visualize your heart rate you can lift your wrist and the screen will turn on and your heart rate will be visualized. You can also tap the side button until you see your heart rate, or a third option is you can tap the screen until you see your heart rate as visualized in Figure 2. Now the screen is not as sensitive as an iPhone so you must tap …show more content…
It also tracks the distance, how many floors you have climbed and calories that you have burned but to visualize this you have to review this in the app that is installed on your phone. You can also set this up on your computer. The activity it tracks is very accurate whenever you run it tracks the activity differently than when you walk and it also tracks how many flights of stairs you climb accurately. It also gives helpful reminders to move if you are not reaching your goal that you set for yourself.

Sleep
The Fitbit Charge 2 automatically tracks the quality of your sleeping by charting the hours that you are asleep and the number of times that you are awake. It also allows you to set goals within the app to set a goal number of hours that you would like to remain asleep. To visualize your quality of sleep you have to review it in the app. It is a nice feature for those who wish to track their sleep and to help themselves be self-aware of their sleeping habits and to hopefully improve their sleep if it is lacking.
