McDonald’s Marketing Mix

Because of the invention of franchising and the development of some of the most creative marketing and branding campaigns, McDonald’s is one of the world’s most well-known, valuable brands holding a leading share in the globally branded, quick service restaurant segment of the informal dining-out market in virtually every country in which they do business. As a leader in the fast food industry, McDonald’s is often targeted. Some of the ways McDonalds’ handles the attacks of the media and competition is by creating a market mix to highlight the positive impacts of the organization. McDonald’s must keep the strategic nature of its marketing efforts to stay on top and provide what the customers want. Marketing mix must focus on the product, pricing, promotion, and the placement of the item in order to make it successful. Marketing strategies must feature customer orientation, input, and accessibility in the fight to the top of the market. McDonald’s is no different as there was a comparison of McDonald’s compared to Wendy’s done. At first glance they may have appeared to have the same roughly marketing mix and target market. Both are fast food and provide similar products. However after looking closer one can recognize that McDonald’s primary target is children ages three through eleven and their parents. McDonald’s understood that the parent was .making the purchasing decision, most likely based on price. What McDonald’s decided to do was put a fifty cent toy in with the hamburger, French fries, and a drink and then gave it a special name called the Happy Meal. Then McDonald’s marketed the Happy Meal to the kids. If you ever asked a child where to buy a Happy Meal, they

I would like to reach out to the public so they would not drink the water until they fix the problem. We will give everyone bottled water until the problem is fixed. like how did they let it get this far for people to get sick and why we have to shut down the whole water system? How long will it take before we are able to use our water aging without getting sick? I have came to he conclusion that the water is what is making everyone sick and so everyone is on the same page they should not use their water until the problem is fixed. In order to fix the problem we have to clean out the water and send it back through and make sure it is safe enough for our citizens to use. The questions that I asked myself are what is it that everybody is doing to make them sick? Have they ate at the same restaurants have they went to the same store are what? Then we have found out that everyone has drunk water from the faucet instead of bottle water. The fallacies that I encountered were that the water company did not want to admit to the fact that the water is what is making everyone sick. When I...

I always made questions and focused one’s attention to find solutions. However, if you think that you have talent, then you don’t practice anymore; it will make your brain become slower and slower. You will be lagged behind your classmates who have intension. Practicing everyday will help you calculating faster and improving your accuracy. Besides being good at math, I was also interested in fixing machines. I often fixed my things in my house even though they were in good condition. If they were not broken, I would also dismantle them, so my parents called me a naughty boy. In my family, I was mostly self-fixed machines although I still had few mistakes. My father could fix machines, but he didn’t do that because he knew that’s my favorite job. I disassembled and fixed them many times until I could remember the structure of machines. I was a curious boy because I often wanted to know everything. I took apart household appliances to see how they work. I used to send weeks just repairing my computer. My parents told me that my face was very excited when I worked with machines, but it did not...

Fixed Analysis

...In the movie “Fixed” the type of meaning I got from the people playing in the movies was some of them wanted to get fixed while others seemed fine the way they were about their disability. What I mean by fixed, is some people wanted to change the way they looked and their ability to accomplish more. Some of the characters wanted to better themselves. For example one character would use some enhancement drugs to focus more and get moving, even though he didn’t need them. In the movie one character, states that some people say  “Oh that I do not look good enough” Meaning people want to change something about them in order to fit in society and belong. It’s all the stereotypes and images that society sets for people. The type of people that would want to change the way they looked were, people who were not disabled at all. Like some individuals do not need drugs to help them focus or surgery to help them look better they are fine the way they are. The movie emphasizes on that part where people who are not disabled see themselves as disabled because of any issues they have physically or mentally they see any flaws they have as a problem and would like to fix it. Also in the movie I had a better understanding of why would some people want to kill themselves. Some people who are disabled or feel disabled feel as if they do not belong to the society. I notice this because people make disability a problem for disabled people. Cutting out access to them. Ellis Kathleen states “that...

Advantages and Disadvantage of Computer

...Internet There is a wealth of information online about everything you could possibly imagine. Search engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo can direct you to relevant information in seconds. Some websites can provide detailed statistics and facts about your research subject, providing you with hard evidence. Other sources on the web can provide expert opinions on subjects that can give your piece a different critical viewpoint and form new arguments that you might not have thought of. Take care to confirm what you are reading is accurate before trusting it as fact. Use of computers in education and research has completely changed the way things were made before. For example, a lecture to the students or the presentation of a paper to a Congress are completely different with respect to those of only a few decades ago, when blackboard, transparencies or photographic slides were used. There are many positive aspects of using computers, for example making a talk very attractive. However, there are also negative aspects. In this paper an analysis is presented of advantages and disadvantages I experienced and of consequences of using computers. Advantages and Disadvantages of Computers As you know nowadays almost every home, office or school has a computer or even a few of these devices. Advantages and Disadvantages of Computers

...e-mail. Finally, computer is useful for communication. To my mind there is plenty of communication software which helps you to socialise with your friends, mates as well as with foreigners from all over the world not even leaving your room. On the other hand as any other appliance it has its own minuses. Let’s face the problem that computer becomes old – fashioned very fast after buying it and needs to be replaced. The point is that replacing a computer is quite expensive. The newer the computer is the more you have to pay for it. Not to mention, the costs you have to pay for fixing the computer if it breaks. In any case, not many people can fix computers so they demand quite a lot of money for repairing them. And computer may have to be fixed if it catches a virus for example. Viruses are all over the Internet; in fact your computer can easily get infected by simply entering some insecure web site. Viruses may cause lots of harm to your computer. They can...

Desktop Solutions Inc

...Desktop Solutions is a corporation that produces a broad line of printing and scanning systems. It has many branches including the St-Louis Branch. It is possible to see from the case that there are many issues arising from this branch. One key issue that needs investigation is delegation of duties. The equipment administrator has many important responsibilities to perform, and as well as having many, there are many that are not well defined. The Equipment administrator is responsible for the accuracy of inventory records, the timely resolution of equipment discrepancies that delayed orders. The EA is also responsible for maintaining the Non-revenue Report, which needed to be updated daily. Every month the EA was also responsible for taking physical inventory of all the equipment and to match this inventory to the Non-revenue Report. It is possible to see that this list of things are all intertwined and are very time consuming. After an audit, they were able to pinpoint that the accuracy of equipment reports was not precise, this something that should be changed. It is not always a good idea to have one person responsible for tasks that are intertwined, because mistakes are often made and never uncovered. The EA could in fact fudge the numbers when it came to physical inventory so that they matched the Non-revenue Report, and therefore he/she would make the company look better because there would be no lost inventory. Furthermore, we can see that having to update the Non-revenue...

(Consider what is new about the topic or what unique perspective can be shared about this topic.) [My personal angle on this topic is that the people on my street have started to donate money so someone can go buy concrete to fix our road. We only have 1 way in and 1 way out. With the road degraded like it is, we have to drive in the grass to get to our houses.] 3. What is your purpose for writing? (What do you hope to accomplish? Why are you writing?) ...faulty, I’ve tried a different battery, different charger and different plug socket). Obviously still having my receipt, I decided to make use of the 1 year manufacturer’s warranty and send it off for repair through Phones4U which takes up to 28 days. Unfortunately for the time being I needed a spare phone so I delayed sending it off until yesterday when I finally got myself a cheap temporary replacement phone. On taking the Samsung Galaxy S3 to the shop I accidentally dropped it and now the phone has several dents along the edges and the LCD underneath has broken so nothing comes up on the screen any longer. Extremely unlucky, I know!! Anyways now with the broken LCD which isn’t covered by the warranty, Phones4U refused to have the phone fixed and Samsung have told me they will charge me up to £200 to fix it. For me repairing the phone is no longer worth it and so I will cut my losses and buy a new Samsung Galaxy S3 WITH a case! Basically this phone is for someone that is good with and can repair phones. The phone comes boxed with everything that came with it except earphones (didn’t think it was hygienic to include them). Other than the things mentioned, the phone works perfectly fine and the battery still holds a good charge. The screen is scratch-free as there is still a screen protector...

Riordan

...Riordan, China Relocation This is an evaluation of the organization, clarity, tone, writing style and my reaction to the Riordan Manufacturing Inc. memorandum for China relocation. The memo does not start off with a proper introduction. This can be fixed by rewording the introduction to state the reason for the memo more clearly. The discussion section of the memo is hard to follow and does not itemize the increases in production. This can be fixed by stating the increase in volume from “this too this” and state the savings that have been shown. The discussion does not use short and concise sentences and has no effects to keep a readers interest. To fix this you could use graphs to show the production volume increase and the savings that could be had using the shipping companies. The use of situations was nice, but the sentence structure is long and uninviting to read. Suggestion is to use shorter more concise statements and shorter situations. The conclusion statement is too long and does not “thank” the people in the company nor does it give a directive action. The conclusion should be shortened and used to thank the people reading the memo or giving a directive action requiring the move by a certain time. The whole memo is too long and should be kept to one page. This will be accomplished by taking the suggestions listed above. The memo is not very clear in its intent and should be changed starting with the introduction, by providing a clear intent to the content of...

Xerox Management Close-Up

...way to fix them. Not only does Anne Mulcahy show what it means to be a leader, she also showed what it meant to have great managerial skills. This paper is going to discuss what it took for Anne Mulcahy to fix Xerox. Despite the massive $18-billioin debt Xerox had accumulated, Anne Mulcahy had a vision and a plan to save the company she loved. In order to achieve her goals, she needed to get her co-workers on board, as well. In order to get her co-workers on board, she needed to have a well thought out plan of action. Anne recognized there was a massive debt looming over her company, and she also recognized that Xerox was about to go under. Despite the negative remarks people gave to Anne for trying to fix the company, she went ahead and fixed it. By doing so, Anne saved thousands of jobs. Before Anne Mulcahy became CEO, the previous CEO had put the company further in debt. His managerial skills were faulty because there was a lack of structure and there must have been a large amount of uncertainty. This can be assumed because he had only lasted 13 months as CEO. When there is a lack of structure and uncertainty, there will always be conflict. The conflict here is that the old CEO had done nothing to fix Xerox’s debt problem, did nothing to help Xerox grow, and instead, was a key cause in the near death of Xerox. When Anne became CEO, she had already proven herself as a leader as she was in charge of a $6-billion project that was a success. In order to save the company,...

Toyota Case

...If I was Doug I would look at when the seat problem began. When Toyota introduced the new wagon model along with eight other seat variations compared to the original five. Also, volume increased significantly as demand did. Now the plant was producing for the world market, Europe and Japan/Middle East added a combined total of 28 variations alone 2. What options exist? What would you recommend? Why? Toyota has several options when looking at resolving this problem. To address this problem I would look to see if these many variations are feasible for a company like KFS to handle. Expanding from simple variations to significantly more can be problematic for any company. Also, with the supplier not being in-house problems cannot be fixed on spot, causing delays. Thought KFS is close in proximity for such an expensive component as seats, it may be worth looking into making them at the Toyota plant itself. This is not a quick solution to fixing the seating problem, and Toyota may not find it cost or time effective to look at that option. At the Toyota plant in Kentucky they have been having problems with a plastic hook that the rear seats pop into. This hook has been breaking frequently causing issues. The cost to modify the tool would cost the supplier KFS $50,000. This problem has been getting better though. When looking at defects data, a major issue throughout the day was material flaws. This is where Doug needs to show concern. This defect isn’t happening at the...
