Swarovski Limited Edition Collection for Chanel

...Crystal Limited Edition: Swarovski Limited Edition Collection for Chanel The Event Design The event will take place in Milan at Officine del Volo, an industrial structure built in 1915. The venue consists of 3 separate rooms on two different floors, the total space being 1500 square meters. For our event on 8th of November, we will use the Eliche room on the ground floor for welcoming the guests and serving a pre-dinner drink and for the dinner we will use the Biplano room on the first floor. Eliche room has a space of 500 square meters that is punctuated with columns, which give a sense of structure to the room. The wooden ceiling brings a warmer contrast to the cement floor and columns. From Eliche room guests take the stairs to Biplano room that will host the dinner. Biplano room is characterised with elements from the early century; parquet floor, wooden trusses and big windows at both ends of the room. Elegant Gala Dinner In order to celebrate the launch of Limited Edition Collection of necklaces for Chanel, we want to create a Gala Dinner that combines the image of the two iconic companies present; Chanel and Swarovski. Chanel represents casual elegance, quality and luxury, while Swarovski brings a touch of glamour and sparkle. For the event we decided to use three main colours: black, white and different shades of violet. Black and white can be seen in the furnishing and decoration, creating a simple yet elegant atmosphere, while violet lightning adds a touch...

Life in Medieval Towns

...because farming methods were inefficient and many people were needed to work on the land. As these methods improved, fewer people were needed, so more of them were able to leave their farms to practice another profession, trade, etc. As these people got together, they formed towns. The inhabitants of towns were free. They owed no obedience to the lord as farmers did, but had to pay taxes to the lord who owned the land were the town stood. The town government was led by a lord mayor and a council, whom usually were among the wealthiest of the tradesmen and craftsmen. A town was usually surrounded by big stone walls. People lived in tall, narrow wooden houses, usually with more than one floor. The ground floor normally was used as the owner’s shop or area to practice his profession. The other floors were the living spaces of the household, and also the place where they kept their animals. Roads in the towns were narrow and long. Before the 13th century, streets were the responsibility of each household. Later on when the council started taking more responsibility, new roads were often built over the previous ones, without bothering to clean them. In London ancient Roman ruins are found at 20 feet below today’s street level. Even though people were supposed to be responsible for the part of the street in front of their house, they never showed much concern and never tried to keep it clean. The only exceptions were during an outbreak of the plague or a royal visit. This wasn’t...

Pig Out

...formal legal opinion about this matter. I'll try and give you all the facts as best I can in this letter because I'm going to Barbados for three weeks and I will be unavailable during that time. About eight months ago, we were approached by a representative from FloorCo Inc. regarding a rather remarkable new product that they had created. The representative told us that FloorCo had created a new process whereby they could fabricate a commercial hardwood flooring that retained a durable glossy shine "virtually forever." They called this new flooring "Evershine." As you know, all of our barbecue restaurants have hardwood floors. The hardwood floors provide us with a "country" atmosphere that our customers expect when they walk into a Pig-Out restaurant. We have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars over the last eight years just maintaining the floors in our restaurants nationwide. We thought that this might be a wonderful opportunity to enhance the appearance of our restaurants while at the same time cut down on our huge maintenance costs. We agreed to discuss it at a board meeting and contact FloorCo at a later date. A month after we initially met, I was playing golf at the Lonesome Pines golf course with a couple of friends and a person asked if they could join our group to make us a foursome. We said "yes" and, as it turns out, the person who joined our group was Robert Goodman who is the chief executive officer of FloorCo Inc. We rode in the same golf cart and...
