...A lot of folks depict paradise as lying on some remote island overlooking a stunning sunset while feeling the sand between their toes. My conception may be somewhat different than most people. I can envision beaming music, and people as they frolic. Where the party never stops, it keeps going and going like the Energizer bunny. The scenery will be the most divine of anything on this earth, more so than overlooking the flawless, sugarcoated snow covering the Rocky Mountains. Oh, my, the aroma coming from that city- like freshly cut bouquets of flowers on a sunny spring day. Forget about having a foul taste because it will leave only an everlasting angelic savor in your mouth. Paradise to me is cheerful music and people also, it has the most beautiful scenery one can only imagine. All the masses of people would start getting together holding hands in a circle with Jesus in the middle and start singing in a heavenly language. The city is filled with thunderous sounds of every instrument one can imagine. Then, the angles pick up tambourines hitting them in rhythm along with the music, while people start dancing before the Lord. All of a sudden, Peter, Paul, Job, and all the great men and women of God lift up their hands and sing out with all of their capacity to Jehovah Jireh. A rainbow is prolonged across the land. It has the brightest colors of blue, yellow, pink, and orange. It is so beautiful; the majestic colors make one want to reach out and touch it. A huge waterfall...

...cultural figures, which are central focuses of the painting. The Queen’s alluring white dress accentuated with the purple banner creates connotations of royalty and prestige. Equally, the garments that Barker has depicted on the Ambassador are atypical to the attire worn by Britons in this period. However they are by no means less significant. The Ambassador wears an animal skin cape, lavish jewellery, and fine linens; Barker has localised England’s prestige to the Ambassador to indicate to the viewer that he is clearly of importance. This then raises the question about the fact that this is an Ambassador, as opposed to the actual leader. One could then argue that the garments worn represent the King. This then sparks the question of what the context was that disallowed the actual King to be there. Were there domestic problems he had to tend to? Was the Ambassador merely collecting “The Secret of England’s Greatness” as a means to resolve the greatness that they might had lacked? Divinity is also explored because of how the non-physical concept of “greatness” is presented as something religious– a Bible. Given the context of a vastly religious 19th century Britain, the Bible is probably an allusion to God and his glory. However the fact that “greatness” is portrayed as a physical entity, leads one to think that it can be achieved by man. This is consolidated by the fact that Queen Victoria is handing the Bible to the Ambassador. It is a form of evangelism per say, declaring...

...Vassals and serfs during the Middle Ages did not have a lot of options in their food. They mostly ate bread and stew. ...King Corn Corn is a plant that can grow in various types of climates, making it the top crop grown in the world. However, a certain type of climate is optimal for most efficient production of corn. Corn needs a temperate weather and good soil. These conditions, as well as the use of hybrid seeds, provide a basis for the huge corn industry in the United States. According to Conceicao and Mendoza, “About 90% of corn and soybean exports are accounted for by only three countries: Argentina, Brazil and the USA. Five countries (India, Pakistan, Thailand, USA and Vietnam) account for over 80% of global rice exports.” King Corn follows two best friends from college, Ian Cheney and Curt Ellis, who go to the heartland to figure out what their food is composed of after finding out in a laboratory study that their DNA was mostly made up of corn. They were curious how corn ended up on their hair. After they plant and grow an acre of America's most produced and most subsidized on Iowa soil, they try to find out where the corn goes in the food system and how it is distributed all over America. What they discover shocks them. There are many reasons why there is an overproduction of corn in the United States, including advancements in technology, government subsidies, the cheap price of corn and corn syrup as opposed to grass and sugar. Overproduction of corn leads to overconsumption of the crop, because since corn is so cheap to grow, many try to figure out new ways on how to turn...

...A Meal Fit For A King When I first pulled up to King Buffet at 2000 NE 3rd St. Suite#104 in bend Oregon I noticed that there was a lot of cars in the parking lot, which meant that the food would be fresh because of the amount of customers that were there. The parking lot was clean, the front of the building was brightly painted, clean and inviting. The front doors were steamy and I could smell the the food cooking in the kitchen as soon as I opened the outer doors, which made me even hungrier. I had to wait only like 3 minutes to get a booth to sit at, there were a few scattered tables open. As you walk to your seat you walk by all the rows of food to choose from and I was seated only a few seconds before the server came to the table to ask what I wanted to drink, I had Mr Pib because I enjoy Dr Pepper. As the name implies it is in fact a Buffet with many different foods from spare ribs, crab legs, and sesame chicken to sushi and salad. In the back of the main area is a Mongolian buffet style skillet that looked to be about 4 or 5 feet across where you can choose your own uncooked ingredients and they cook them up right in front of you which is a pretty good show. Beside that is a wonderful little sushi area where everything is hand made right in front of your face and plated up....

...Analytic Essay First Image: In this first image, to me, it looks like it is describing two soldiers who are getting ready to go off into battle. They are weary at first but get on the horses and ride off. Meanwhile, it looks as if the king is in the castle trying to pick out which style robe or fabric he would like to have next. Being shown to him by the seamster, with two behind him looking as well. Second Image: In the second image, I see a funeral service. There are people mourning on the part that is cut off. There are many people carrying the body away to where the burial would be. Usually they would carry it to the burial site and burn the bodies or they would be put in the ground. Then at the end it looks like a king sitting on his bed pointing at something. Third Image: In this third image, if you start from the left, it looks like on the top story, it is a king being asked to do something about a situation. In the bottom it looks like an elderly man is being taken care of because he is ill. Farther over, it looks like there are guards guarding a palace or church building with the royal family sitting inside and on the outside of the doors are people praising. Fourth Image: This whole image looks like it is men at work making boats. At the beginning, it looks like the men are giving commands. Father down they begin to chop down the trees for the boats. Then you see them carving the boat form out of the trees and then you see the boats being painted and finished...

...Fast Food Approachability I have spent quarter of my life in a miserable condition. I really feel distressed when I remember my past days. When I was in a refugee camp, one of the organizations distributed rice as a main food. Being a refugee, I did not have proper clothes to wear, a house to live in, and food to eat. I did not have any other options than to eat rice. I ate rice for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Because of rice, I was able to survive. Therefore, the need of rice has become my want and desire. It does not matter what I eat, I don’t feel I am full until I eat rice. Rice can only make me satisfied, happy, and satiated; after coming to the U.S the environment change and I felt like now I get everything that I didn’t have when I was in my country. But as time pass I learned, America is the fastest moving country in fast food eating. People tend to eat outside of the house. This is one of the main factors that cause obesity. There are lots of reasons that people choose to eat processed foods. Today in our society, time is one of the biggest issues on their schedules because the people in here are always busy working or engaging in some sort of activities. For example, work, college and their personal time consume a lot of time on a daily basis. Besides those activities, all these fast food restaurants, good taste of fast or processed food, and less time to prepare processed food are making people lazy and they ignore to cook at home. It will even be better if at...
