In case there are issues or phases that need to be improved, it would be much cheaper doing it over time. He argues that the best way to achieve the formative assessment on the game is by getting feedback from the user. This can be done discreetly to ensure they do not change the player’s behavior while the game is going on. The recordings can either be visual or audio. From the way the players make body movements and facial expressions, it can be used as a measure of how much they are engaged.
