Four Corner Analysis
The preliminary research for the four corner analysis of our competitor will be based on collecting the following information: both primary and secondary 1. Identifying my competitors- It will range from Universities like Texas A&M, Rice University and also Stanford, Caltech etc. It will also include online courses given by the Universities. 2. Knowing short history of my competitors, their student base, the interdisciplinary fields offered by them, the professors and the infrastructure available, their management, their research strength and industry tie ups, tie ups with other universities, government and private funds they get, their marketing strategies for this course etc. 3. How many of my competitors have started this course, what are their strategies and how many of my competitor are about to start the course in near future. What are the different types of programs offered by them on this Data Analytics course?
Based on the collected data we do the analysis.
Corner 1- What drives the competitor?
As Data analytics is a prospective emerging field of study, the scope of research and patients in the field, large scale industrial and government projects, funds from government and private, student tuition fees, building hardware and software related to the field etc.
Corner 2- What is the competitor doing and what are they capable of doing?
Our competitors can already form tie ups with universities that we are planning to do or they may have done industrial tie ups already. This can reduce our share of research projects and also affect the placement of our students. The information can be found out by checking advertisements on print and visual media, survey among our competitor university students etc.
Corner 3- What are the strengths and weakness of our competitor?
Strengths can be pooling of interdisciplinary faculty
