Through the use of strategic design elements, arrangement, and compositional elements, the Post Consumer Brands cereal company effectively designed the “Fruity Pebbles” cereal box to appeal to young children. Introduced in 1969, “Fruity Pebbles” is the oldest cereal brand based on characters from a televisions series or movie. Inspired after the well-known cartoon, “The Flintstones”, “Fruity Pebbles” is named after one of the main characters on the show, Pebbles, and successfully presents their product with a Stone Age theme, similar to that of “The Flintstones”.
