It was the time of the year when all talented basketball players gather and join the tryout of the Reardan basketball team. During the Full Court One-On-One Drill, a young freshmen caught the coach and the people’s eye. As most of our students know that in our school, there’s one drill that was called the “full court one on one”, in this drill, players are required to be both offender and defender. You are the only one on the full court, no one is there to support you. So far in the Reardan basketball history, this is rated the hardest and the most exhausting drill for the freshmen. Arnold Spirit, the one, and only student from the reservation, his first basketball tryout in Reardan is surely a tough one. During the tryout, Arnold was up against the best sports player in school: Roger. In the first two rounds, Roger easily broke through Arnold’s defence and successfully performed 2 dunks. Surprisingly, Arnold didn’t give up after two successful breaks through from Roger, he chose to continue the drill and prove himself to the team. During the third round, Arnold dribbled the ball and ran towards Roger, who reached for the ball with his right hand, the movement put Roger a little off balance. Arnold spun-dribbled around Toger and raced down the court, however, Roger caught up and smacked the ball out of Arnold’s hands, but Arnold still won’t give up, he jumped up, grabbed the loose ball and raced toward the hoop. This time, Arnold even didn’t dribble, well that cannot be counted as a foul because in one on one drill, there is no rules and fouls.
