La ventaja competitiva de una empresa se pudiera lograr cuando la estructura seleccionada de dicho comercio es congruente con la estrategia que fue formulada. Kudler Fine Foods continúa el crecimiento basado en la visión original de la señora Kudler de crear un negocio donde se consiga todo para confeccionar una cena Gourmet en una sola parada. Por otro lado, el ser exigente con el personal escogido y tener el control directo sobre el reclutamiento, los pedidos y un servicio al cliente de primera, ha construido de la empresa una entidad de sorprendente expansión. En el siguiente ensayo el Grupo A, analiza varios aspectos de la empresa Kudler Fine Foods. Comienzan por definir la razón de la existencia de Kudler Fine Foods, a través del documento se señalarán varios análisis en sus funciones operacionales.
La pasión por la confección de comida gourmet de su fundadora Kathy Kudler, fue la razón principal de existencia de Kudler Fine Foods. Kathy fue inspirada al ver la carencia de lugares para conseguir todo lo requerido para lograr una cena gourmet. El hecho de que no existía ninguna fuente en el área local donde se pudiese conseguir todo lo requerido en un solo lugar, provoca que la fundadora considere la posibilidad de convertirse en la tienda de alimentos gourmet de primera, para aquellos compradores inteligentes que buscan los alimentos de primera calidad y finos vinos.
La estructura organizacional de Kudler Food comenzó como el más típico de los pequeños negocios iniciados con una estructura organizacional sencilla. Un propietario, entiéndase una jerarquía direccional, dueño y fundador quien tiene mayor control y más responsabilidad. Como Kudler Fine Foods ha crecido y ha experimentado éxito, ha logrado la apertura de dos tiendas más, la necesidad de pasar a una estructura orgánica funcional es ahora necesaria. Una compañía un poco más estructurada, no solo con una directriz del dueño, si no requiere que hayan diferentes posiciones gerenciales con distintos roles y tareas que se dividen por departamentos o áreas de responsabilidad, tales como, contabilidad, recursos humanos, departamentos de compras, entre otros. Además, la empresa se da cuenta de la importancia que juega el Internet para el crecimiento de la compañía y creará un sitio Web que les permitirá ofrecer sus servicios en todo el mundo. A través de la expansión de Kudler Fine Foods continúa con los planes de continuar centrándose en la alta sociedad para mantener su perfil de clientes de alto nivel.
Kudler Fine Foods tiene una estructura organizacional descentralizada, lo que significa que las tiendas tienen la autonomía para tomar decisiones por sí mismas para que tener la capacidad de mantener las operaciones de la tienda de manera efectiva, al igual que maximizar las oportunidades diarias. A pesar de que estructura de la empresa es descentralizada, esto no significa que la propietaria no tiene nada que decir a nivel de cada tienda, solo permite correr las operaciones diarias de los negocios y tomar decisiones con relación al inventario, personal, entre otros. Esta cadena de tiendas es pequeña, solamente tres tiendas. Optar por un enfoque descentralizado como estructura organizacional permite que cada tienda sea más autónoma, aunque la oficina central monitoree el funcionamiento de las tienda, pudiera proveer un mejor control que las cadenas más grandes.
Kudler Fine Foods opera bajo una sombrilla de métodos generales destinados a dar a los empleados un manual de operaciones. Con este enfoque, los empleados se sienten en la libertad de hacer cambios para el mejoramiento de cada localidad. Sin afectar las operaciones diarias esperando por una autorización. Kudler Fine Foods funciona a través procesos estructurados de apoyo para lograr los objetivos y normas. Analizar, observar, comunicar y debatir son partes del proceso que se utiliza cuando se interactúa con los asociados, de esta manera el funcionamiento y las operaciones diarias de la empresa se convierten en un entorno de colaboración, motivación, por consiguiente mayor productividad, de manera que se alcancen las metas organizacionales.
En el proceso de colaboración se les provee herramientas para aportar a que el personal trabaje en equipo. Herramientas tales como videos de entrenamientos, pizarras para mejorar la comunicación y productividad, se comparten técnicas efectivas, charlas de motivación, comunicación a través de mensajería de textos o correo electrónico, entre otros.
Kudler Fine Foods se caracteriza por sus finos alimentos de alta calidad. Para transmitir este mensaje es necesario que los empleados adopten un modo colaborativo. El equipo opera con mucho conocimiento y experiencia en los productos de kutler. El personal transmite una experiencia de compras agradable para sus clientes al trabajar juntos como equipo. Cuando los empleados tienen tanto conocimiento como aquellos en Kudler, es importante promover el intercambio de información. Cada empleado debe tener algo que aportar, así sea: su punto de vista con respecto a los alimentos o la perspectiva del cliente. Al estar en tono al lo que es la empresa y todo el conocimiento esto logra un uso de las herramientas de colaboración, tales como un plan de acción. Los empleados necesitan un amplio conocimiento de los productos para atender las necesidades de los clientes y las preguntas de manera completa. Capacitar a los empleados en cada área y departamento. Comenzar a implementar entrenamiento cruzado horarios y períodos de formación para los empleados y departamentos. El gerente de la tienda va a trabajar con turnos y ordenación de la zona para completar las transferencias de los cambios, poner en práctica el entrenamiento del área, los horarios y notificar a los que pondrá en práctica individual dentro de las áreas. Línea de tiempo de gestión de la tienda se reunirán para poner en práctica los nuevos horarios. El objetivo de los empleados de entrenamiento cruzado la terminación es de seis meses desde el punto de aplicación de lo previsto. La colaboración por encima de la formación transversal se lleva a cabo sobre la base de los deseos generales de la gestión empresarial. Las colaboraciones verticales existir cuando los diferentes niveles de la empresa trabajan juntos para alcanzar el mismo objetivo. La organización de empresas de Kudler Fine Foods se basa en encuestas a los clientes actuales para aumentar el conocimiento de los empleados, entrenamiento cruzado para aumentar la funcionalidad departamental.
La colaboración vertical se aplica con el uso de notas, reuniones, encuestas de empleados, y las comunicaciones individuales. Este proceso se inició con la alta dirección y abrió camino a través de niveles más bajos de administración de la tienda, a través de formas directas de comunicación. Una vez que la colaboración vertical fue completa, con la colaboración lateral comenzó. Lateral es la colaboración de las discusiones de planes de negocios en todo, incluso una llanura de los empleados. Esto se lleva a cabo a través de asociados, jefes de departamento, y otros métodos. Kathy Kudler, propietaria es responsable de fijar una reunión para tomar estas decisiones a tomar su lugar y se mueven en la cadena de la empresa. Esta línea de tiempo que pasará en los próximos tres meses de operaciones y la colaboración horizontal entre cada tienda debe ser informada por la última semana de esos dos meses.
Los empleados serán capacitados con el departamento de formación individual, el horario se creó para comenzar el entrenamiento. Las quejas de los clientes son muy graves y se tratan de inmediato y resuelto. Además Kudler Fine Foods ofrece muestras de alimentos y reuniones de vino por aprecio a los clientes, ha construido una sólida relación a través de su interacción con proveedores y bancos locales. El producto es de los proveedores locales, nacionales e internacionales (University of Phoenix, 2011).Las relaciones con los proveedores permiten alimentos Kudler Bellas comprar semanalmente y permite que los pagos se realicen en 30 días.
Mantener buenas relaciones con los proveedores permite que los alimentos Kudler Bellas, seguir ofreciendo los productos más frescos y más altos en calidad. They will analyze the organizational goals and identify the key positions and conclude with collaboration of functional goals, vertical collaboration, and identify the key stakeholders and what their roles are. Kudler Fine Foods vision was introduced by a woman who had the vision to open up her own gourmet shop, selling gourmet foods and tools that one would need.
