The furry fandom on the Internet is very popular among many people from teenagers to even adults. However while there are a good amount of people who are in the fandom and many people who are starting to participate in this unusual culture, many people view this is obscure, immature, and not acceptable to society. Furries are viewed strangely, because of they dress up as animals and are anthropomorphic, but have weird sexual desires. To start off, why furries are strange is their behavior and to dress up as animals. Many people view this as a strange practice, because it's not normal to dress up as an animal that acts like a human, and walk around in public. I would personally find it strange if I was encounter by person dressed up as animal.
