Introduction

Sergio Bustamante was born in Sinaloa. At the age of 9 years old he moved to Guadalajara, Jalisco. Since childhood he showed his interest in drawing and later he took the decision of becoming architect.

Galeria Sergio Bustamante is an Art Gallery based in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico, that had had a sustainable growth since his foundation in 1975. Bustamante always has considered his art as unique, and that’s why he was concerned about being better worker and artist, being authentic and going farther and farther.

His company began only with three employees, one gallery, and only one workshop, but throughout of thirty years the company employed more than 150 employees, nine own galleries and several workshops.

Bustamante was the designer and he created an average of three or four designs per day, where the sketches were delivered to the corresponding workshops where they were producing limited editions of art pieces, between fifty and a hundred small pieces and between ten and twenty big pieces. Those pieces ranged between 200 and 5000 US dollars according the designed piece.

Problem /Situation Analyzed

The problem or situation that we can observe in this case, is that Mr. Bustamante haven’t decided if expand his business or to implement some strategies to make his company can take more position and presence in the markets that they all ready have.

Alternatives and decision criteria

We need to make reference that his company all ready have presence in some countries around the world, like United States, Mexico, Japan, Europe and Middle East and with this we can conclude that maybe he doesn’t need to make more presence, he need to expand and take advantage of the presence that they all ready have.
