My dauntless cousin Garret has made a huge impact on my life. He is like a brother to me. He only lives a few blocks from our house. He’s a good person who works really hard at everything he does, no matter how trivial. (Colossians 3:23) His commitments and hard work give him success everyday. His commitment to the Lord shows great devotion, and the reason that our families are so close is because of our shared values.

IT IMPR AGE IVE OF HERIT & CREAT RAL HE CULTU T ESFIELD MACCL .uk festival.org y ww.barnab w 1 Foreword It’s extremely gratifying that within just three short years this contemporary arts Festival has become a cornerstone of the Maxonian calendar. The town has taken enthusiastically to the idea of a revival of the midsummer celebration of its heritage, talents and interests. There was a latent hunger for a fuller cultural and community life - a hunger which helped secure the success of the Barnaby Festival. This evaluation demonstrates how the benefits to the town extend from the immediate economic impact to a more substantial social and cultural legacy. There is a widely held feeling that the Festival has been the catalyst for a growth in confidence and sense of identity, and has heralded a richer civic life in Macclesfield. Barnaby 2012 has again been a huge task for the team of volunteers and would have been impossible without the unstinting support of local businesses, the local authority, grass-roots groups and umpteen helpers. Thank you, Macclesfield, and long may it continue! Uber - Organizational Behavior

...UBER In the last few years technology has drastically changed the way some industries do business. The newest company changing the essential nature of their industry is Uber. Uber’s company mission confirms this ambition. They want, “to evolve the way the world moves by seamlessly connecting riders to drivers through their apps”. Uber’s aim is to make cities more accessible, open up more possibilities for riders, and provide more business for drivers. This desire to change the nature of the ride for hire business has challenged the regulatory framework of the taxi industry and has caused a substantial amount of controversy for the company. This controversy hasn’t harmed the company’s bottom line. In fact, Uber is so loved by its users that it has grown to a billion dollar company on word of mouth alone. As Uber launches into each new market, these controversies are played out in the court of public opinion, and the power of Uber supporters and the quality of the experience, create a large amount of defense for the company from the local community. This support has changed laws, helped make easy transitions for Uber in new cities, and through local and national media has reached even more potential customers who would use an innovative new company reinventing a transportation experience that is nearly universally disliked by people everywhere. Uber has been an outstanding innovator who is experiencing great growth and success. This unique ability leads to the question, what...

British Petroleum Oil Spill Disaster

...British Petroleum (BP) Case Study Executive Summary This case study report examined a public relation management problem that British Petroleum (BP) faced since the oil spill accident happened in April, 2010. In addition, this thesis recommended possible solutions and implementation plans for BP to deal with the public crisis. On April 20, the explosion on the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig in the Gulf of Mexico led to the largest accidental release of oil into marine waters in history. As a result, a huge loss of money and life was caused and affected serious environmental damage to wild animals and water pollution. BP was accused of their irresponsibility that it took 87 days before the well was closed and sealed. BP’s shares plummeted to the lowest point since 1996. The communities around the Gulf of Mexico blamed BP for their carelessness and appealed for more actions to recover their low income life. BP has already established $20 billion fund to respond the situation in the Gulf of Mexico. However, according to recent research, the amount of the money is not enough to straighten out the crisis.  In order to examine the case, we performed PEST and SWOT analysis methods. We focused on evaluating economic and socio-cultural factors that were the major elements had affects on BP’s public image. At the same time, we analyzed and key strengths and opportunities that essential for BP to revitalize its brand image. Our analysis revealed two crucial factors. First, BP’s own...

Interpretation of Dreams

...The Interpretation of Dreams Sigmund Freud (1900) PREFACE TO THE THIRD EDITION Wheras there was a space of nine years between the first and second editions of this book, the need of a third edition was apparent when little more than a year had elapsed. I ought to be gratified by this change; but if I was unwilling previously to attribute the neglect of my work to its small value, I cannot take the interest which is now making its appearance as proof of its quality. The advance of scientific knowledge has not left The Interpretation of Dreams untouched. When I wrote this book in 1899 there was as yet no "sexual theory," and the analysis of the more complicated forms of the psychoneuroses was still in its infancy. The interpretation of dreams was intended as an expedient to facilitate the psychological analysis of the neuroses; but since then a profounder understanding of the neuroses has contributed towards the comprehension of the dream. The doctrine of dream-interpretation itself has evolved in a direction which was insufficiently emphasized in the first edition of this book. From my own experience, and the works of Stekel and other writers, [1] I have since learned to appreciate more accurately the significance of symbolism in dreams (or rather, in unconscious thought). In the course of years, a mass of data has accumulated which demands consideration. I have endeavored to deal with these innovations by interpolations in the text and footnotes. If these additions do...

...IIBM Institute of Business Management Corporate Governance www.iibmindia.in Chapter 1 Corporate Governance Corporate governance refers to the system by which corporations are directed and controlled. The governance structure specifies the distribution of rights and responsibilities among different participants in the corporation (such as the board of directors, managers, shareholders, crors, auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders) and specifies the rules and procedures for making decisions in corporate affairs. Governance provides the structure through which corporations set and pursue their objectives, while reflecting the context of the social, regulatory and market environment. Governance is a mechanism for monitoring the actions, policies and decisions of corporations. Governance involves the alignment of interests among the stakeholders. There has been renewed interest in the corporate governance practices of modern corporations, particularly in relation to accountability, since the high-profile collapses of a number of large corporations during 2001–2002, most of which involved accounting fraud. Corporate scandals of various forms have maintained public and political interest in the regulation of corporate governance. In the U.S., these include Enron Corporation and MCI Inc. (formerly WorldCom). Their demise is associated with the U.S. federal government passing the Sarbanes-Oxley Act in 2002, intending to restore public confidence in corporate...
