...Culture Paper Crystal A. Naquin GBM / 380 January 25, 2016 Jeffrey Buck Abstract The culture I choose for this paper is Thailand. Having lived in Pattaya, Thailand for well over eighteen months. I lived off post from the United States Naval Base. I and my husband wanted to learn about the culture that surrounded us. We meet up at a social group of people’s homes once a week and we would learn how to cook and enjoy the cultural food. We learned the customs and rituals of cultural social gatherings. This sequence explores the experience I learned and research studying done on individuals living in Japan. This experience is in implementing the Thai and Japanese culture into business practices. I will reference language, traditions, ceremonies, religion, beliefs, arts, etiquette, body language and attitudes. Language Even though English is widely spoken the official language is Thai. English is mainly understood in business and major cities such as Bangkok. Writing English is less commonly understood and practiced. In the Language barrier one must consider the importance of the Royal Family and Buddhism in the culture. The Royal Family and Buddhism only speaks in Thai due to the language of their country and religion around Thai. In the business world of Thailand one must consider the use of an interpreter. It is not necessary but highly recommended in special circumstances when making executive decisions or negotiations when you have a group of five to...

...kij1 Master Thesis Supervisor: PETER LØCHTE JØRGENSEN Author: QIAN Zhang (402847) Pricing of principle protected notes embedded with Asian options in Denmark ---- Using a Monte Carlo Method with stochastic volatility (the Heston Model) Aarhus School of Business and Social Science 2011 2 Acknowledgements My gratitude and appreciation goes to my supervisor Peter Lø chte Jø rgensen, for his kind and insightful discussion and guide through my process of writing. I was always impressed by his wisdom, openness and patience whenever I wrote an email or came by to his office with some confusion and difficulty. Especially on access to the information on certain Danish structured products, I have gained great help and support from him. 3 Abstract My interest came after the reading of the thesis proposal on strucured products written by Henrik, as is pointed out and suggested at the last part of this proposal, one of the main limitations of this thesis may be the choice of model. This intrigues my curiosity on pricing Asian options under assumption of stochstic volatility. At first, after the general introduction of strucutred products, the Black Scholes Model and risk neutral pricing has been explained. The following comes the disadvanges of BS model and then moves to the stochastic volatility model, among which the Heston model is highlighted and elaborated. The next part of this thesis is an emricical studying of two structured products embbeded with Asian...

Assessment, Management and Future Directions for Coastal Fisheries in Asian Countries. WorldFish Center Conference Proceeding 67, 1 120 p. Abstract This paper reviews the coastal fishery resources of Bangladesh emphasizing the coastal environment, capture fisheries and management issues relative to the sector. Bangladesh’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) covers an area of about 166 000 km2. This area has abundant natural resources such as fish, shrimps, crabs and other marine products. Shrimp and fish trawling is the most important economic activity in this area. The fishery sector makes a significant contribution to the national economy in terms of foreign exchange, income generation and employment. It is very important in nutrition, especially in providing animal protein. In 1997 - 99, the marine fisheries sector contributed 22% of the total fishery production of 1 373 000 t. However, the resources are being destroyed in many ways. The fisheries resources have declined and fishers are getting poorer. The decline is partly due to estuarine...
