The Geaux Change Foundation (GCF) is a non profit foundation that helps bring businesses and jobs to the South Eastern part of the United States. The states that the Geaux Change Foundation helps are Louisiana and Mississippi at the moment, they hope to branch out to Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas, and Florida as these are some of the poorest states in the United States. The GCF takes ideas from entrepreneurs and goes over them thoroughly to see if they are a wise investment and could bloom into a profitable business. If the GCF helps start a business they make the entrepreneurs sign a document that states they will not leave the state as a way of providing jobs to those areas. I have $1,000,000.00 which I have been searching for the past year to donate all this money to. There were many charities that were very close alongside the GCF till the very end, as all these charities have very great causes this is the one that really speaks to me the most. As I look around America and see all the poverty stricken places especially the southern states I just can't help but feel bad since I was born in Louisiana and my family resides there. As jobs are being brought to these poor areas the crime rate will in turn decrease as people don't have to do what they used to in order to survive. As more jobs are going overseas it is only right that somebody is investing in America and not just focusing on how the goods will be cheaper but caring for the country like it is a community and we are all relying on each other. The Geaux Change Foundation needs an investment like this to show that somebody is really backing them. They are promoting them as they have been working with little to no funds and haven't been able to do much
