Review your time log and answer the following questions:

1. Based upon your time log, do you think you manage your time wisely?
I feel I did manage my time effectively today however; this was not a typical day for me. I was able to download reading materials and read on my laptop during my commute since my vehicle was in the shop for repairs and I had alternate childcare. Usually I would be driving for my entire commute and have to use more study time in the evening. Also, I completed a lot more reading for the week than I would usually complete in a typical day even outside of the time on my commute
2. What do you spend the majority of your time doing?
Working
3. How can you alter (or remove) activities to stop spending so much time on things that are not important? I think everything I did was important and recreational activities were limited on this day. On a typical day I would maybe spend a little more time on recreational activities but not by much.
4. If you removed activities, how could you replace them with short-term, goal-oriented tasks?
I don’t feel there are many activities I could remove because everything was essential to the day and planning for the rest of the week. I could have potentially spent a little less time reading/studying in the evening; however, I wanted to be done with as much as possible for the week.
5. What techniques will you use to adhere to a productive schedule, fight procrastination, or avoid stress?
I would like to manage my time effectively on all days and try to use changes in my usual routine to my advantage as I did on this day whenever possible. When I am on my usual routine I could try to keep more order to a specific schedule. Today, with the extra time I had, I felt really focused about maintaining a schedule and trying to complete my work so that I could be ahead. That focus stayed with me throughout the day which was a good thing. I think if I could find time and motivation to start things earlier in the day then it may help me stay motivated into the evenings when I’m able to do a majority of my work.
