In world war 2, a war hero named General George S. Patten gave a speech to the Third Army. This speech was meant to inspire his men to fight their hardest in the future battles to come. Though his speech proved to be a success, his suggested themes in his speech have a questionable motive within. Patten Writes, “We're not just going to shoot the bastards, we're going to rip out their living goddamned guts and use them to grease the treads of our tanks.” This morbid description of mistreating the enemy’s internal organs suggests a savage if not, animalistic behavior that is unnecessary for each soldier to commit to.
