George Washington. This man was the first leader of one of the best countries on Earth, the United States of America. One of his ideas was for America to have a grand, national university, so every student can get a high quality education at a low cost. This idea, however, has never been carried on. But now, an author by the of Kevin Carey believes that, in our time period, we should listen to Washington and continue with this national university. Low-income students would get help by not having to pay so many fees, with the help of taxpayers. Academics would improve because educators from world-renowned universities such as UC Berkeley and MIT would make the courses for the university. It is obvious that the United States college system is in crisis, so having a national university is what we need to help stop this crisis that destroys life
