Solaris Seethes is a science fiction adventure about a spacecraft called "Solaris" which has been adapted to possess artificial intelligence, and it's adventures with the novel's heroine, Rynah. Rynah's home planet, Lanyr, has been destroyed and she and Solaris begin a quest to restore order to the planetary system to which Lanyr belongs.

The premise of the novel is that there are crystals hidden in the universe which must be recovered in order to recreate the geothermal balance required to maintain stability within the solar system. Adding to the intrigue, characters from different time periods on Earth join the crew on Solaris, as they are apparently vital to finding and obtaining the crystals.
