Definition of 'Commercial Bank'
A financial institution that provides services, such as accepting deposits, giving business loans and auto loans, mortgage lending, and basic investment products like savings accounts and certificates of deposit. The traditional commercial bank is a brick and mortar institution with tellers, safe deposit boxes, vaults and ATMs. However, some commercial banks do not have any physical branches and require consumers to complete all transactions by phone or Internet. In exchange, they generally pay higher interest rates on investments and deposits, and charge lower fees.
Investopedia Says
Investopedia explains 'Commercial Bank'
Commercial banking activities are different than those of investment banking, which include underwriting, acting as an intermediary between an issuer of securities and the investing public, facilitating mergers and other corporate reorganizations, and also acting as a broker for institutional clients. Some commercial banks, such as Citibank and JPMorgan Chase, also have investment banking divisions, while others, such as Ally, operate strictly on the commercial side of the business.

State Bank of India (SBI) is a multinational banking and financial services company based in India. It is a government-owned corporation with its headquarters in Mumbai, Maharashtra. As of December 2012, it had assets of US$501 billion and 15,003 branches, including 157 foreign offices, making it the largest banking and financial services company in India by assets.[2]
The bank traces its ancestry to British India, through the Imperial Bank of India, to the founding in 1806 of the Bank of Calcutta, making it the oldest commercial bank in the Indian Subcontinent. Bank of Madras merged into the other two presidency banks—Bank of Calcutta and Bank of Bombay—to form the Imperial Bank of India, which in turn became the State Bank

This movie film did several things very well. In the movie, Josh is not just another normal students. Josh is something, he is an intelligent strong student and very religious, who makes the decision to courageously stand up for what he believe is right. In some other situation, I must say that the professor did a funny job to demand his student to sign the declaration that God is dead. Its unethical way as a professor in a big university. The professor made the student to choose between grades over God. That's far too selfish though. I mean one must respect of what we believe in. Far too often nowadays, people are afraid to say or do what is right for fear of what others may think, or even out of respect for others' feelings. But this movie drives us to the point to be courageous and do what's right. Based on his past life, his mom died even he prayed and begged to spare her life but it made him to anger and find it painful to believe God. He misunderstood God's way of loving. Truth is, God love us unconditionally. We may question him...

...Cold Equations Everybody must deal with "Cold Equations" in his or her life. Whether it is death, heartbreak, having to go to school, crime, violence, family, all of us must come to grips with things we can't change. The author from this novel "Cold Equations" is trying to teach us that nature is unforgiving and no one can avoid it. Death is a cruel part of law of nature, it can take away someone's life and won't care about it. Everybody has to deal with the laws of nature, sometime in their life, we just have to deal with it and hope everything goes good. The laws of nature is always in a person's life, everybody copes with the inevitable and has to deal with their problems and the things we can't change. Everyone should enjoy their life to the fullest and don’t take any moment of your life for granted, because laws of nature could simply take everything away. The space frontier is desolate and must abide by the strict, cruel laws of nature. “The laws were, and the universe moved in obedience to them.” This is showing that the laws of nature have no morals; they are how they are and no one can change it. We should tell people how we feel about them when we can. We shouldn’t ignore the little things that we have done and we should tell people we love them, thank them, and say sorry for what we did to hurt them while we still have time. Accidents can happen out of nowhere and take the chances away to tell people how you feel about them. In the "Cold equations" Marilyn was an...

Porter's Five Force Model of Itc

...Chapter 8 Conclusions On the basis of the findings, the following conclusions can be drawn: (on child labour in the export-oriented garment and gem polishing industry of India) 1. For both, the garment export industry in Tirupur and in Bangalore as well as the gem polishing export industry in Jaipur, it has been found that their expansion, due to an increased international demand by European countries and the US for garments and (semi-)precious gem stones, caused an increase in the number of economically exploited child and adult labourers. When children are concerned this caused more school drop outs and illiterate children. It has been found that the labour of children who work in the above mentioned industries interferes with their mental, physical and social development. Especially in the garment industry as compared with the gem polishing industry the children are physically and economically exploited. Though the children in the garment industry earn higher wages than the children in the gem polishing industry, they are forced to work more hours per day and also in the nightshift because export orders have to be completed in time. This puts a tremendous stress on the children. The majority of the children in the garment industry of Tirupur suffers from exhaustion. This is even more the case for the children who have to combine work with education in the evening in non-formal education centres. 2. Employers of both the industries have a vested interest in child labour...

Blood Diamonds

...This paper depicts the adverse effect of diamonds on the people of Africa. It also addresses the real price of diamonds which it believes to be the lives of millions of Africans. Additionally, it examines the response from the United Nations and question if enough is being done to crack done on the sale of blood diamonds.   The famous phrase “Diamonds are Forever” is known to most people all over the world. What most people do not know is where most of these diamonds are coming from and how they came to become perfect gestures of love and romance. Looking at a clear cut diamond ring, it is hard to imagine the possibility of thousands of innocent people being murdered, tortured, and forced to mine for these stones; unfortunately that is the case in Africa. Diamonds in West Africa have been used for the last 30 years to fund rebel groups and their desire to take control of their nations by violence and intimidation. In such conflicted regions of the world, diamonds lose their connotation of beauty and elegance and are stained with blood. In this paper, I will discuss the many ways in which “conflict diamond” has brought nothing but poverty, suffering and war to the West African people. I will further explain what world organizations such as the United Nation have done in order to counteract the adverse effects of the conflict diamond on the African community, and the extent to which such efforts have been successful. Conflict diamonds are diamonds illegally traded...

...Advertisement: At most jewelry stores, the person assessing the diamond is the person selling it so you can see why an assessor might say that a diamond is of higher quality than it really is. But because all diamonds sold at Gem World are certified in writing, you’re assured of a fair price when purchasing a diamond from Gem World. The reasoning in the advertisement would be most strengthened if which one of the following were true? a) Many jewelry stores other than Gem World also provide written certification of the quality of their diamonds. b) The certifications of diamonds at Gem World are written by people with years of experience in appraising gems. c) The diamonds sold at Gem World are generally of higher quality than those sold at other jewelry stores. d) The diamond market is so volatile that prices of the most expensive diamonds can change by hundreds of dollars from one day to the next. e) The written certifications of diamonds at Gem World are provided by an independent company of gem specialists. Statistician: A financial magazine claimed that its survey of its subscribers showed that North Americans are more concerned about their personal finances than about politics. One question was: "Which do you think about more: politics or the joy of earning money?" This question is clearly biased. Also, the readers of the magazine are a self-selecting sample. Breaking Binaries in Children's Television: How Steven Universe's "Alone Together" Quietly Queers Gender

...Rebecca Sugar's Steven Universe has quickly developed a large fan base of kids, teens, and adults alike. Much of the draw for the show comes from its non-traditional representation of gender and familial structures; from the main character, Steven, being raised primarily by three humanoid, female presenting aliens known as "gems" — Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl — with only occasional interactions with his human father; to a cannon lesbian couple (with another couple being implied but not yet confirmed); to even Steven himself frequently acting in ways that are often coded feminine, such as enjoying dressing up, dancing, and openly crying and becoming emotional in front of others. However, one of the more commonly discussed characters among the fans is Stevonnie. Stevonnie is what is known in the show as a "fusion" of Steven and Connie. In the show, the gems are able to combine with other gems, creating what is known as gem fusions. For example, Garnet is a fusion of two gems, Ruby and Sapphire, who are so in love that they cannot stand being apart. However, Steven is a unique case, as he has a gem mother and a human father. Thus, he is not able to fuse with other gems, but he is able to fuse with humans. In the episode "Alone Together," Steven and Connie accidentally fuse together, and, after being dubbed "Stevonnie" by Amethyst, explore the town together as a fusion. What makes Stevonnie an incredibly unique case in children's media, however, is that their gender is never truly identified...

Mantra Ring

...powers of self-mastery. Any new challenge, be it losing weight or sticking to your morning yoga class will be easier.  Index finger: The index finger is known to palmists as the ‘mirror’ finger. It’s ruler is Jupiter and it’s about self-reflection. A big ring on the active index finger shows self-esteem issues, and a frustrated need for power and recognition. This is particularly true if there’s a large gemstone. In portraits of powerful, ruling figures, like Henry VIII, Elizabeth I and Napoleon, large rings are visible on both index fingers.  Tin is the metal of Jupiter, so if you lack self-confidence, wear a ring of base metal on the index finger of your active hand to reinforce and enhance the sense of self. Ensure the ring has no gems and has flat, faceted sides (for modesty, humility and all-round recognition). You’ll feel better immediately. Visualize the kind of personal qualities you want frequently while turning the ring slowly with the finger and thumb of your other hand.  Middle Finger: The middle finger is known as the ‘wall’ finger. It’s ruled by Saturn and represents psychological boundaries, lifestyle and value systems. The larger the ring and gemstone worn on this finger, the more seriously one takes life and the more one wants to fit in and feel secure.
