Human beings could see the light of day. The goal of Office Tiger is to provide its clients - which consist primarily of law firms, investment banks, and consultancies – with highly secure processing of sensitive documents. The owners use energetic efforts to motivate employees, the ultra-competitive nature of the workers who sacrifice their social lives for twenty-hour workdays, and team manager's delegating their work and getting things in on time. Office Tiger never has to lock their door. The insight to the work ethic in the parts of the world currently developing economically are abusive. We see the long hours, the testing working environment and the rigorous employment selection and the pressure put on them to succeed. Their vision to me is clear. Corporation's are going outside the United States to third world countries where they can get away with low hourly wages, no benefits and no overtime. What a savings. To my amazement these people show such appreciation for an abusive situation. The film is trying to show how much over time employees spends on continuous improvement through the on the job training. They have actually a full time trainer on the premises, their attrition rate of more than 30% is on par with western call centers staffed by students and temps. I work for a call centre company part time. I have been employed by Proformance Calling for four years. I know what 30% attrition rate does to a company. I am a recruiter and trainer. Year after year I train mostly University of Central Missouri students which most of them will drop out. We handle the overflow of Admissions Departments for christian university's all over the United States. Our main account is Olivet Nazarene University. Proformance Calling is just a very small privately owned business. The great part is, it gives college students a small income. In turn supports the businesses and the community in a little town called Warrensburg, Missouri. The biggest Software developer is IBM. IBM is now a global process with the offshore low-cost nations. IBM Global Services is the largest service provider. The services it provides include application development, data storage, infrastructure management, networking, technical support, business consulting, and outsourcing services. Many look to long commutes or relocations to find jobs or prepare to compete with their kids for $7- to $8-an-hour Wal-Mart jobs. Meanwhile, economic-development officials try to attract investment but rarely mention manufacturing, except to convert the region's abundant corn and soybeans into marketable products. The town has a new logistics park, entrepreneurial centers, and business incubators, and there's some talk about Galesburg's becoming an education laboratory, a tourist center, or an "ag-urb" retirement center for upscale refugees from cities such as Chicago, a three-and-a-half-hour drive away.
The town is playing up its historic -- and rebounding -- strength as a railroad center and its interstate-highway connections in the search for warehouses and distribution facilities. Last summer a delegation went to China, looking for investors and Chinese companies seeking distribution centers for the kinds of goods once manufactured in towns such as Galesburg. It was a sign, local citizens thought, of how globalized the town was becoming.
"Globalization is such a fraud," says Bevard. "It's just a rush to the bottom for cheap labor. Instead of reducing the United States to the Third World, we should be elevating the standards of those countries." The movie starts out scanning the Universe. The alein Psychlos enslave humans and use humans for manual labor. A journey in the Rocky Mountains leads to both men lead stars being captured by a Psychlo raiding party and transported to a slave camp at the Psychlos' main base on Earth, a giant dome built Denver, Colorado. The Psychlo security chief on Earth, has been condemned by his superiors to remain indefinitely at his post on Earth as punishment for an unclear incident involving "the Senator's daughter." Aided by his deputy, devises a plan to buy his way off the planet by making a fortune using human slaves to mine gold in radioactive areas. Psychlos are unable to visit such areas due to the air. An abandoned underground US military base with working aircraft, weapons, fuel, and nuclear weapons is found. They train themselves for combat.
After a week of training, the rebels launch a mass uprising against the Psychlos using jump-jets and other weapons. inside suffocate in Earth's atmosphere, which they are unable to breathe. Jonnie captures a Psychlo teleportation device and uses it to teleport an atomic bomb to the Psychlo home world. The ensuing detonation causes the entire Psychlo atmosphere to explode, wiping out the planet. Ker and Terl survive on Earth but face different fates: Ker sides with the victorious humans, while Terl is imprisoned as a hostage within a vault in Fort Knox. The film ends with the humans in control of Earth but facing an uncertain future. Human being today should not have to face an uncertain future. Globalization has actually decreased intercultural contacts while increasing the possibility of international and intra-national conflict.
