Goals and Objectives for Hope Cancer Resources

Goals and Objectives for Hope Cancer Resources
Hope Cancer Resources is committed to making the lives of cancer patients and their families better anyway that is possible, dedicated to informing the public on cancer prevention strategies, and aiding cancer patients after remission. Having both goals and objectives together is important to accomplish the mission of Hope Cancer Resources, and although many of the long and short term goals and objectives are manifest, there are also latent goals and objectives.
The goals of Hope Cancer Resource Center are clear in the mission statement and the programs they offer. According to "Hope Cancer Resources" (n.d.), “The mission of Hope Cancer Resources is to provide compassionate, professional cancer support and education to the Northwest Arkansas region today and tomorrow” (para. 1). By having oncology social workers, transportation services, Spanish interpreters, health education specialists, and other cancer resources, the organization is working to reach their goals and objectives and fulfill their mission. Hope Cancer Resources wants to help cancer patients and their families learn more about cancer and help to provide all the resources necessary to make cancer patients’ lives easier.
The main goal for Hope Cancer Resources is to help battle cancer, whether it is preventing and treating or providing help with the after effects of cancer. Although the main goal for Hope Cancer Resources is to limit the effect cancer has on people, each program offered has different goals and objectives. Hope Cancer Resources make it clear that cancer is a battle that people should not go through alone and that there are ways to aid in preventing some cancers or detecting the cancer in an earlier stage. Cancer patients are the target population of the organization’s goal. No matter what

Goals and Objectives

...Goals and Objectives Damien Mohorne HSM/240 June 15, 2014 Ricardo Castro Goals and Objectives Knowing the differences between goals and objectives is vital for any organization. This is an essential part of being able to analyze their services and programs. Latent and manifest functions, long term and short term goals and objectives are parts of the program that needs to be understood in order for the organization to be successful. The organization that I chose is The United States Department of Human and Health Services. This organizations goals and objectives are clearly stated on their web page. The mission of the United States Department of Health and Human Services is: “to help provide the building blocks that Americans need to live healthy, successful lives”, (The United States Department of Human and Health Services [HHS], 2014). Simply said this organization is trying to give assistance to Americans that are in need of help in order for them to be healthy and successful in life. According to The United States Department of Health and Human Service, “We fulfill that mission every day by providing millions of children, families, and seniors with access to high-quality health care, by helping people find jobs and parents find affordable child care, by keeping the food on Americans’ shelves safe and infectious diseases at bay, and by pushing the boundaries of how we diagnose and treat disease”. Goals and Objectives

...Goals and Goals and Objectives Holly Regan HSM/240 February 9, 2014 Terra Harris Goals and Objectives There are six fundamental policy elements that are equally essential in the development and implementation of all social policies and two of them are goals and objectives. Although the two go hand in hand they often serve entirely different purposes within social programs and policies. Goals and objectives are not about delivering services, but about achieving a desirable outcome with the targeted social problem. The nature of goals is that they are quite general and abstract; therefore, they are not ordinarily intended to be directly measured. Objectives on the other hand, are intended to be measured and the implication is that, for goals, their clear definition is their most important attribute. The importance of objectives, on the other hand, is their concreteness, observability, (Chambers & Wedel, 2005). A goal is an abstract and general statement of desired outcomes. Goals are an answer to the questioning of program or policy purpose. An objective is a concrete, operational statement about a desired observable outcome. Goals and objectives which are manifest are evident, obvious, or apparent goals and objectives which are latent are present, but not visible, apparent or actualized, but still exists as potential. An agency’s or organizations statement of goals and objectives can be found through examination of statements in primary documents...

Personal Goals and Objectives

...PERSONAL GOALS AND OBJECTIVES Over the years, I have worked so hard, but I did not seem to be getting anywhere worthwhile. The main reason as to why I felt this way was because I did not spend enough time thinking about what I wanted to achieve in life, and also I did not set any formal goals that I wanted to accomplish. I came to realize that, it is not easy to set out on a major journey without first knowing your destination. I know goal setting will be a very powerful tool that will help me to think about my future, and also to act as motivation in turning my vision into reality. Also, by setting my personal goals for five years will be very important to me because they will help me to know precisely what I want to achieve, and where I have to concentrate my efforts. After I graduate with my masters’ degree in management information technology, I would like to obtain a challenging position which will allow me to use my information technology skills in assisting my organization's success and future growth, become a business analyst and then grow into my current job as a director of information technology. I am preparing for these goals by focusing on my studies and following through with my educational goals in achieving a master’s degree in management information technology. Goals & Objectives Report

...Goals & Objectives Report Organizational Goals This report is prepared based on Biotherm Men. In 1970, L’Oreal acquired Biotherm as their luxury product market segment. Being in the luxury skin care industry, it is challenging to maintain market share amongst other namely brand competitors. Hence, this project’s major goal is to strengthen Biotherm in terms of increasing market share in the Australian market. To achieve our goals, our objective is to increase the awareness of our product and reposition Biotherm to assure that consumers know that Biotherm has the best quality products amongst its substitutes. Biotherm Men was the pioneer of the men’s skin care industry and it proclaims to men’s needs and satisfies them (Blanchin, A, 23rd May). Hence, this project will later focus on the sub-brand, Biotherm Men to achieve the goals. We believe that an increased share in Biotherm Men will increase the market share in Biotherm itself. The reason that we choose Biotherm Men over the other’s line is because the statistics stated that the market for skin care in Australia increased between 2001-2006, growing at an average annual rate of 1.2% and there is a potential opportunity for men’s cosmetic market since it is relatively new and growing (King, 2011). The fact that men’s skin is different to a women’s has created a demand for men’s skin treatment. Hill states, “In the past 7 years, there has been an 800 % growth in the sales of male toiletries, but the market is still...

Security Goals and Objectives

...Goals and Objectives of a Security Organization SEC 310 17 November 2013 Goals and Objectives of a Security Organization This paper will focus on major topics of a successful security organization. The first topic to be addressed is how each organization, both within industry or within the governmental realm must ascertain their goals and recognize the consequences of failing to achieve their objectives. This paper on will focus on business and in government operations. In either environment, goals and directives are critical to the success of the organization in itself. Second, this paper will touch upon some of the legal aspects which may arise during their course of duty. Third, this paper will seek to identify some influences, whether they be positive or negative that may affect the security organization. Last but certainly not least this paper will ascertain the value that private security management brings to both government and to industry. The goal of any security organization is to protect. This could be the protection of information, the protection of assets as well as the protection of people. A security organization could focus primarily all of these areas. One area, Information security, is particularly difficult. The protection of information technology, its working systems, and the platforms are continuously hindered and easily undermined by flaws in design, weak or non-existent passwords, social engineering and associated risks (Lacey, 2010). Goals and Objectives for a Security Organization

...Goals and Objectives for a Security Organization A company has many different sectors that all together create well maintained organization. Security is just a part of the organization. Some companies use Contract Security, which is where the role of security personnel is contracted out to a third party. Others use Proprietary Security, which is where the role of security personnel is hired from within the company. This would be a better choice for a long term security job. The security personnel are trained within the company and better know how to do the tasks placed at hand. A contracted security company would be a good choice if the organization was set up for such as a short term event, like a carnival or fair, public event involving high priority targets, or even for a large store chain hiring extra security for a parking lot sale. There are companies that use both types of security. The Proprietary security is in place to maintain classified tasks that an outside security personnel would not be privy to, as well instruct the contracted security to which tasks they are needed for. The contracted security is hired to do unclassified task such as walk the grounds, watch the monitors, as well as maintain entry points. The law places stipulations on everything in today’s world. Security management is to ensure the guidelines are followed as part of their job. Say a crime is committed that leaves a victim, criminal, and an offence. Security starts the moment the crime...

What Are the Goals/Objectives of Radical Feminism?

...Matthew Magee Social Psychology 456-01 Adam Mayblum paper 1-26-13 This story is incredible the things that he went through and many others is amazing that he was able to survive this horrific act and tell his story. I love at the end when he say’s “if you want to kill us, leave us alone because we will do it by ourselves. If you want to make us stronger, attack and we unite. This is the ultimate failure of terrorism against the United States and the ultimate price we pay to be free.” He has a very good point because whenever something horrifying happens it really does bring us all together and we start to help each other and look out for each other. But when everything’s calm and not much is happening then it’s basically everyone for themselves and no one really helping each other which is sad but is human nature. This also shows how when faced with something like this you average person can become a hero and help save other’s lives even when they’re scared for their own they do everything in their power to help each other. He is right though when something like this happens it’s basically the spark that lights a fire and unites us all and makes us come together as a Nation. This paper really makes me think about how I would handle some of the situation’s he runs into if I could be as much of a hero as him or the people he mentions if I would be able to stay calm under those kinds of pressures. It’s a good thing we have people like Adam Mayblum...

Organizational Leadership for Achieving Strategic Goals and Objectives”

...Lister v Hesley Hall Ltd [2001] UKHL 22, [2002] 1 AC 215, [2001] 2 WLR 1311, [2001] 2 All ER 769 HL Summary The defendants ran Axelholme House, which was attached to Wilsic Hall School in Doncaster. Local authorities would send children to the school and they would board at Axelholme House. The defendants employed Mr and Mrs Grain to run the house and maintain discipline. The claimants stayed at Axelholme House between 1979 and 1982. During that time they were sexually abused by Mr Grain. They sued the defendants, claiming that the defendants were vicariously liable in respect of the torts committed by Mr Grain when he sexually abused the claimants. The Court of Appeal dismissed the claimants’ actions on the grounds that Mr Grain was not acting in the course of his employment by the defendants when he sexually abused the claimants. The House of Lords reversed the Court of Appeal’s decision, holding that because there was a “close and direct” connection between what Mr Grain was employed to do and Mr Grain’s sexual abuse of the claimants, the defendants were vicariously liable in respect of the torts committed by Mr Grain when he sexually abused the claimants. Comments It is not an understatement to say that this is the most important decision on vicarious liability ever handed down by the House of Lords. It’s unfortunate, then, that the decision is so badly flawed. Two criticisms may be made. First, the reasoning underlying the decision is sloppy, to say the least. Second...
