Being a good supervisor is a very difficult task. A boss must have several qualities to be considered good. Probably, the three most important characteristics a good chief must have are: leadership, organizational skills and communicative skills.
First and foremost, leadership is a crucial capacity every boss must have in order to help him to conduct and entire team of employees to achieve a common goal. This quality allows a boss to inspire other people or even influence in their decisions. In the day to day work, it is important that a leadership can put a target that all their group can be identified and to make all the efforts necessary in order to accomplish what is needed for the benefit of the company and not their own. For instance, as in the case of the sports and education it is highly rewarded the role of a leadership.
Furthermore, a good supervisor must know how to organize his team. He must identified which are the specific qualities or capacities each member have in order to fit them in a particular group. Each group, can be guided into a particular and clearly established objective under the continuous monitoring of the supervisor. For example, this capacity will help to achieve a particular goal more efficiently because international studies have revealed that working in a very well organized groups can reduce the timeframe in a process.
Last but not least, a good boss must have a good communication with his or her people. In order, to transmit his ideas he need to have a simple and understandable language, which can be complemented with examples, so all the members of the group would understand what he expects of them. For example, depending of the type of the group he will use more or less technical terms.
In conclusion, a supervisor who has a good leadership qualities knows well how to command and organize his people into doing jobs that suit

Truth be told, the only way he can get them to respect him, is earn their respect and trust. Therefore, he should. Last but not least, leadership and be an expert in his field.
