STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

IEES has served its fellow Isabelenos for many decades, Produce productive and competitive individuals. Despite fast growing population of the student, and the demands of this techno-age. The institution encountered some problems: 1. Difficulty in keeping the students grade because still using on manual way, i.e. class records, Microsoft Excel. 2. Maintaining security and accuracy of student’s grades and data information. 3. Difficulty to track its student grade. Objective of the Study
The researcher formed consistent and specific aims in conducting the study that enabled the IEES faculty to have an impartial and detached structure that can answer the problems attached.
General Objectives:
To Develop a Grade System which enables the faculty and the school to keep the grades of the students and to access it easily.

Specific Objectives: 1. To offer ease for the faculty in keeping their student grades. 2. To maintain security of the students grades and other information. 3. To track easily the students grades when needed by the teacher or the students.
Definition of Terms:

* Grades Conceptually, a teacher's evaluation of a student's performance in class.
Operationally, refers to the data that is going to be save in the system. * Faculty/ Teacher
Conceptually, a person who provides education for pupils (children) and students (adults).
Operational – Refers to the individual who are going to access the system. * Grading System
Conceptual - refer to a set of rules that governs structure and/or behavior. Alternatively, and usually in the context of complex social systems, the term institution.
Operational- Refers to the system where in the student info (grades) and the faculty as well are being saved. * Student
Conceptually, a learner, or someone who attends an educational institution.
Operationally, refers to the students of IEES .

Operational Frameworks: The frameworks of this study was anchored on the General System Theory. It state that a system is made up of individual components which can be able be integrated into a systematic whole (Ketzner, 1998) Hence, the three basic elements of a system which are input, process and the output as sited by Sin Wong Koi (1994) of UNESCO from Franco’s System. Approach must be in consonance so that desired outcomes are achieved.

Significance of the Study IEES aims to provide a Grading System for the benefits of its institution. * The School This study will serve as a helping hand for the institution as a whole. In successfully keeping the grades of its student in simplicity and accuracy. * The Faculty/Teachers Specifically, this study will lessen the burden of the teachers in computing, keeping the grades of each student * The Student
This study will be beneficial for the student for easy conveyance of concerns in terms of their grades. * The Researchers Accomplishment of this study will be a great help for the researchers to enhance their capabilities and skills in applying the strategies they have learned in extending help for IEES. * The Future Researchers
This study will serves a guide and reference for the future researcher in developing study which is similar to this.

Scope and Limitations. The study focuses on the development of Grading System wherein it allows: 1. The teachers account in storing and updating the grades of their students. 2. The administration to access and view each student’s grade and the teacher’s record. 3. The Student and parents in viewing the student grades if there is any concerns.

Chapter I

Introduction

Management Information System refers broadly to a computer-based system that provides manager with tools for organizing, evaluating and efficiently running their department. Government, businesses and even schools been using MIS for them to facilitate strategic and operational activities. Payroll System, Sales and Inventory System are examples of MIS which provides efficiency and effectiveness of every businesses. Isabela East Elementary School located at Montilla St. Municipality of Isabela, Negros Occidental started its operation in 1930. With The researchers develop the Grading System for Isabela East Elementary School that will improve the current grading policy and procedure of the institution since they are still using the manual way of keeping their grade record.
