This issue is also considered in the “InsideApple: Can It Thrive Without Steve?” article, published on the Forbes’ webpage where commentaries on the book of Adam Lashinsky “InsideApple” are provided. This article describes the aspects of the book regarding successful implementation of the “radical management system” by Apples’ incomparable leadership guru Steve Jobs. The article states that the author of the book, Lashinsky, based on the theory of organizations development, predicts an early death of Apple explaining that the company has entered the “path to senescence and death”. In turn, the author of the article, Steve Denning, specifies that “Apple’s future, therefore, depends on understanding the management principles Steve Jobs used to make it successful, while also recognizing his shortcomings. Those principles are eminently replicable business practices that, once understood, any firm can implement. It does not require “a great man”. Is it real that “any firm can implement” and does not require “a great man”? Does not Apple need Steve Jobs? When the “great guru” was fired in 1985, the situation in the company was not good enough; however, everything has changed since his return in 1997 and implementation of the strategy, which is still quite successful. ...for a humble person; they may care little for tangible objects, and more for intangible traits and achievements. A selfish man wants money; whereas the selfless man wants satisfaction from their work done and accomplishments. Material possessions don’t determine the sense of self one has for themselves; sense of self determines one’s possessions. however , some may say the problem arises beginning with the ownership of physical property. Becoming attached to tangible, earthly objects and wealth can lead to a person caring too much and focusing too much on those, in the end, useless achievements, instead of the ore important qualities, humbleness and empathy for example. With the same line of thinking, this can be seen in a similar situation with the opposite effect. ...the Museum This is a story about a man sitting in a museum looking at one specific painting: the Stubbs chestnut horse. Doing this, he talks with an older man of near sixty years old about a girl in the museum. This girl reminds the older man about the feeling of rejection in his teen years. The main character is telling the story from his own point of view, as he is the narrator of the story. He is a first person narrator, who does not comment on the characters and the action in an objective way. An example of this is when the girl jokes about the horse in the painting and walks away, just to go back, when she “stared at the horse, which she must have felt she had affronted by her laughter” (page 5 line 6). Of course, the narrator does not know why she comes back to the horse; this is just his guess of what she is thinking. This affects the readers, since we do not get to know the thoughts and feelings of the other characters. At the beginning of the story, the old man tells a younger man about Stubbs the painter and about the horses he painted. But the young man seems restless and he is not interested in listening to the old man. By his exit, he ends up insulting the older man, who does not understand why the young man is not willing to learn anything about Stubbs. Stubbs and the painting of horses seems to mean a great deal to the older man, so he gets insulted, not only by being left, but also because of the fact that the younger man rather wants to go to the French eighteenth...

This man has a belief that you cannot just send a young man off to possibly die without having talked about it first. He also made this decision based on the context on the situation. He knew some of the people in the room would be too scared to voice their own opinion. Others people’s belief though in the room are not in the right place. Some are more worried about a baseball game or money. Others are basing some things off their background such as the one of the other older gentlemen and his issues with his children. Their background experiences all reflect their actions and attitudes during the whole movie. This was also due to the perception of the situation they were in. Their attitudes and values were also a big influence on them during the movie. The old man that first voted not guilty was definitely a leader. He also had very high self-esteem because he was not afraid to voice his opinion. Many people went through intrapersonal communication during the movie, because of the examples and flaws the old man was sending...

...An Essay on ”The Doctor and the Doctor’s Wife” By Ernest Hemingway Seemingly, masculinity is a big part of men’s identity. Masculinity is usually associated with courage, independence, and assertiveness, and if a man’s pride is discriminated or somehow threatened, he will often do whatever is necessary to regain his pride. Thus, this might result in unethical behaviour. This is dealt with in Ernest Hemingway’s short story “The Doctor and the Doctor’s wife” from 1925 where masculinity is an overall theme and where he uses contrast and his iceberg technique to get his message across. Good intro (but remember to put two writing devices in) As stated, Hemingway illustrates the importance of masculinity for men’s identity in this short story. Firstly, Hemingway employs the importance of pride in male-to-male relationships by focusing on the interaction between the Doctor and the American Indian Dick Boulton. Secondly, Hemingway shows that a man’s pride comes above all, since the Doctor is dishonest to his wife regarding why he had a conflict with Boulton. Lastly, the use of contrast, e.g. the Doctor’s dishonesty as mentioned earlier, between the sexes empathize how masculinity is important to men, and this is what the following essay will be examining through the character of Nick’s father, the Doctor. In the beginning of the short story, the Doctor has hired three American Indians to cut some logs that broke free from a steamer and drifted on the beach. The three American...

...Rick puts aside his relationship with Ilsa in order to help the world, because he knows his problems are miniscule to the world. The part was great. But how can a movie that portrays women in such a bad and ridiculous light be considered romantic? All three women we actually see are nothing more than pawns in the game the men play, props to elevate the glory of the main hero and stepping stones to achieve his full mission. The first woman we meet is Yvonne. She’s obviously gorgeous, and somehow that’s all we know. Through the narrative we learn nothing more than the fact that she sleeps around, and is somehow annoying for wanting more than just sex. Because wanting something more than sex is somehow too much to handle for our lead. She is literally being passed around from man to man, who take her home for sex and then treat her like garbage the next day. There is no difference between her and a high class prostitute. Not only is she an annoying walking sex toy, she also happens to be an alcoholic. During a scene the audience sees Yvonne drinking more than she should, and who comes to the rescue Rick. After she tells him that she doesn’t want to go, we see Rick almost forcing her out of the bar. Her opinion and feelings don’t matter. Rick somehow knows what’s best for her, which wouldn’t be a problem if he would have done the same for a man at the bar. I’m sure many men come to his place and get pissed drunk, but the moment a woman decides to get drunk it’s somehow his responsibility...

...A strong belief I have is that the man should be the head of the household. In the Bible, God says that the man should be the head of the house, but often men do not lead the house and force their wives to. There are many reasons that I hold this belief. One of those reasons is that I have seen men not leading their families or their churches and how it can affect people. Such as my friend whose father left him and his mother, leaving him without a father figure to look up to. Also I have seen my father leading our family and it has shown me how a man is supposed to lead and how God designed the man to be the head of the household. I began to believe in this when I was young and saw a friend who lived with his mom, who was divorced, and didn’t...
