Gregor Samsa is barely starting to wake up and does not feel comfortable in his body. He tells himself he is a hard working man and needs a lot of sleep to put up with his stressful life. Gregor believes the lack of sleep is making his body feel unnatural. Samsa goes into deep thought about his life and is complications with work and his family. He compares his life to everyone else's life and wishes he could be like them. This quote illustrates that Samsa's mental state is not very strong and he is not happy with the life he is living. His bus leaves at 5 A.M. every morning meaning he is an early bird who gets up early in the morning and goes to work. He is a business man with a set schedule, and goes to work for a living. This quote shows the basic life Samsa is living. Gregor has a lot he would like to say to his boss and other people but decides to keep it with in himself. He is an introvert who hates the job he has, but knows the consequences of his actions. Gregor does not speak for himself but for his parents. He does not want to let people down and will keep his opinion to him self to do what it is best for him. He is having an off day as he wakes up to an unfamiliar body, but knows what he needs to get
