Groundhog day it’s a very unusual thing that we celebrate. This Groundhogs name is Punxsutawney Phil and lives in Gobbler’s Knob near Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. Thousands of people every year come to experience Groundhog day. Isn’t it strange how people come watch and report what the groundhog sees? People say that whether he sees his shadow or not, is his weather prediction. This all came about when the Germans believed that the badger had power to predict the coming of spring, and to know when to plant their crops. They soon realized that the badgers predictions weren’t true, but the tradition was continued. They then changed the badger to a groundhog because their weren’t as many badgers in the area. If the groundhog doesn't see his shadow
