That expertise ranges from backgrounds in the non-profit sector to occupational therapy, financial analysis, logistics, international consultancy, and corporate management. The specific work expertise related to marketing that is relevant to this class is also varied with some members having strong expertise in marketing, sales and business and financial relations, while others have had no experience at all in marketing. This sets up the members for an interesting working relationship. All have had ample experience doing group work in past classes at Liberty University. The group is dynamic in nature. All in all, the individuals are go-getters who work well both as managers and as team members or followers. There seems to be a common work ethic where all members have a strong sense of initiative and are autonomous and self-motivated. While clearly...

...In this experiment, two different tree species, namely speckled alder (Alnus incana subsp. rugosa) and white birch (Betula papyrifera), were studied and observed under multiple parameters in two sites – the lowland and upland, respectively. Students were divided randomly into four groups: decomposition, leaf, arthropod, and environment, and tasked with measuring specific phenomena. The decomposition group investigated the decomposition of leaves in litter bags over time, the leaf group observed changes in leaf herbivory by insects and leaf senescence, the arthropod group investigated the diversity of arthropod communities at both sites, and the environmental group examined abiotic conditions such as soil pH and composition, temperature and...

...Introduction For our focus group, we were able to find 7 individuals who were willing to participate and share their thoughts on the automobile industry. We had a diverse group, with participants from China and India, as well as a couple Canadians. This gave us lots of helpful data from people who were brought up in different settings and have different experiences with vehicles. We found our focus group to be very informative and it provided significant results and findings that we can use in our report. Some of the responses we were given to questions and discussions were predictable and as we expected, but others shed a new light on certain issues within our research that we think will prove to be extremely helpful. Moderator’s Guide Prior to our meeting, we needed to come up with a plan for our moderator as a group. We stressed the importance of making sure the discussion was natural and free flowing so we could gain as much knowledge as possible, but at the same time there were specific things we needed to ask our subjects to allow us to further our research. To identify the information that was necessary to gather, we first needed to establish what we already knew about our topic from our secondary research. After doing this, we devised a set of questions that would help guide our discussion and give us the results we were looking for. These questions were designed to be open-ended and general so our moderator would be able to steer the discussion, and at the...

Introduction In this Report I will be looking at the last 5 years Income Statements and Balance Sheets for Vodafone Group Public Limited Company and carry out ratio analysis for my four chosen user groups. Vodafone is one of the world’s leading mobile telecommunications operator with a total of 91,272 employees as of March 2013. 2. User Groups and ratio Analysis 2.1 Employees Employees are interested in the company’s stability and profitability. They are after the ability of the company to pay salaries and provide employee benefits. They may also be interested in the company’s financial position and performance to assess the possibility of company expansion and career opportunities. ...posted a manifesto on his social network page and on February 3, 2013 it all began! His first 2 victims had been shot and killed and there were more deaths to follow. Dorner was after any and all law enforcement and anyone involved with them and LAPD had no idea what else was in store. The manhunt lasted for a little over a week and authorities had no idea where he was or what his next move could have been. Somehow, they caught up with him finally and it all ended with a cabin on fire and Dorner allegedly dead. ABC 7 was not subjective, they reported the information they had, and the reporters did not seem to make subjective comments in the first report. Some information I found odd to be reported was the preschool Dorner attended. Has the reports continued, it started to seem like all the stations were being subjective in their reports. Fox 11 news was the most subjective; the reporters shared how terrible they thought the events were and hoped for Dorner’s capture. In both stations the information that was omitted or never spoken of in detail was how good of a person everyone knew Christopher Dorner as. There were people who wanted to share their experiences with him and who have known him for years and never thought of him as a killer, but apparently none of that mattered at this point. NBC 4 was the most objective, there were no opinions, and they reported the information they had. All news stations seemed to omit any good information on the suspect, but at that point they were...

The analysis was conducted at Industry Analysts, Inc.’s Technical Services Division in Fairfield New Jersey, and was performed using the latest downloadable version of Web Jetadmin 8.1, which was downloaded from Hewlett Packard’s web site, and the Beta 1 and Beta 2 versions of Web Jetadmin 10.0 supplied to IATSD by Hewlett Packard under nondisclosure prior to it’s official announcement, release, and availability. ...WEEK 2 PAPER GROUP A: EVALUATING THE PILOT AND THE DOCTOR SITUATION WAS A CATCH 22 TYPE SITUATION. THE DOCTOR SHOULD REPORT THE HEALTH ISSUE BECAUSE HE IS MANDATED TO DO SO, AS WELL AS THE FACT HE TOOK AN OATH. THERE WOULD BE NO REAL GOOD LEGAL REASON TO IGNORE HIS FINDINGS. AND AS SUCH, HE SHOULD HAVE REPORTED IT. BUT LOOKING AT THE FACT THAT THE GUY ONLY HAD A MONTH TO GO BEFORE HIS RETIREMENT, AND THE FINDINGS WOULD TAKE THAT AWAY, I CAN SEE WHERE THE ISSUE OF NOT WANTING TO REPORT IT CAN BE A PROBLEM. IF SHE HOLDS BACK THE FINDINGS, HE COULD RETIRE AND BE OK. IF SHE DOESN’T, HE WILL LOSE HIS RETIREMENT. THIS SITUATION IS THE EVERLASTING AND ENDURING ONE OF RIGHT VERSUS WRONG OR SHOULD AND SHOULDN’T…IT WILL END BADLY IF THE DOOCTOR REPORTS IT, OR IT WILL END BADLY BECAUSE IF CAUGHT, THE DOCTOR COULD LOSE HER LICENSE AND THE GUY WILL LOSE HIS RETIREMENT. SO EITHER WAY IT’S A LOSING SITUATION AND OUTCOME. GROUP B: RHONDA SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER THAN TO PARTICIPATE IN THE GOSSIPPING SESSION. WHEN SHE FELT THAT FIRST FEELING OF BEING INCOMFORTABLE, SHE SHOULD HAVE ACTED ON THAT AND POLITELY EXCUSED HERSELF, THEN LEFT. THINKING THAT BY JOINING IN THE CONVERSATION AND GOING ALONG WITH IT WAS OK IS ABSOLUTELY THE WRONG THING TO AVE DONE. THERE ISN’T EVEN A QUESTION OF BEING RIGHT OR WRONG. BECAUSE WHAT SHE DID IS ABSOLUTELY WRONG SINCE IT DEMEANS HER FRIENDS AND COWORKERS, PUTS HER IN THE SAME CATEGORY AS THOSE STARTING THE GOSSIP FEST, AND IT SHOWS...

...Although this is a market research interview and what you say will, of course, be treated in confidence, should you raise during the discussion an adverse event in a specific patient or group of patients, we will need to report this even if it has already been reported by you directly to the company or the regulatory authorities using the MHRA's 'Yellow Card' system. In such a situation you will be asked whether or not you are willing to waive the confidentiality given to you under the Market Research Codes of conduct specifically in relation to that adverse event. Everything else you say during the course of the interview will continue to remain confidential. Are you happy to proceed with the interview on this basis?’ So that this is absolutely clear, I would like you to now sign the following statement: I, the undersigned: 1. Recognise that there is an obligation for the interviewer to collect details of any adverse events about individual patients or groups of patients that are mentioned during the course of these interviews. Although this is a market research interview, so that what is said is treated in confidence, should an adverse event in a specific patient or group of patients be mentioned in the discussion, the interviewer will need to collect this information and report it to their client even if the adverse reaction has already been reported into the national reporting system. 2. Agree that after the above explanation, I was given the option not...

...Methodology: When writing about the exemplification paragraph, we first had a report. We reported about the examples of how the world would end. We decided to do a “deal or No Deal” imitation to do our report. When we finished reporting, we then started on doing the paragraph. Methodology: Sahara and Alexis worked on making the descriptive paragraph. They thought about doing a descriptive paragraph about our mothers. They decided to make this as their topic because they wanted to describe or show how a mother loves and cares for her child. Methodology: On doing the narrative paragraph, we were asked to find a trailer and narrate what would happen in the movie. We chise the movie “Pacific Rim” that talks about an alien invasion. Alkexis was tasked to do this paragraph and we shared our guesses about what would happen in the movie. We guessed that in the end humanity would conquer the aliens and would stop them from invading th Earth. Methodology: In making the procedural paragraph we were asked to present examples of doing something procedural. We were tasked to do aerobics. In the picture we were practicing our aerobics for the presentation. After the presentation we then made the paragraph. Methodology: Bencen is working on the effect-centric paragraph. At first she found it hard to choose a topic that would easy to write about and that people could relate to it. Then she decided to write about the effects of procrastination...

...of ways to gather and report information. Qualitative data is information about qualities; information that cannot be measured. Quantitative data is information about quantities; information that can be measured. To use the qualitative data to collect information focuses on describing a fact in a complete manner. Although it can be thought of as subjective, shared with a number of other it can provide an intangible understanding that certain things are happening within a group or individual. Some benefits to this type of data is it can provide a better understanding of mechanisms, provide subjective information, and provide verbal information that can be changed into numbers. However there can be some limitations such as statistical challenges and difficulty assessing associations between characteristics. The quantitative data can be information gathered on a fact. It can also be founded on an objective manner. This can be summarized, making it possible to compare the information against each other. This method enables generalization. The gathering of information of a large group is possible. Reporting can be listed in several categories allowing comparison, would provide numerical information, and can allow the determination of relations to variable for statistical reporting. It may be hard to recognize new information. It is important to know exactly what needs to be reported before starting to collect the data. When looking at reports of comparison it would...
