If firms such as McDonald / Douglas, are able to have resources to monetarily support the economical growth, along with the ever changing changes in technology, success is inevitable. If a company is blessed with all these characteristics, they have the ability to put themselves in a place that can hold a position strategically on the simple basis of their capital capabilities and their resources. For most companies the amount of the tangible resources may not possess these certain characteristics and therefore the businesses must focus on their intangible assets to have an advantage on their competitors. There have been several authors have pointed out the importance of strategy of using intangible assets to keep a competitive edge. Therefore, the resource view is based solely on their knowledge, which in turns puts an emphasis on building, and the continuing process of keeping a strong hold on their capabilities of as a firm. This can be accomplished by continuing to gain currency by keeping these things in mind: * Capabilities and resources are easy to copy. * The realignment of the market and how it is ever changing, which provides a state of flux. * The internet’s growth and the way it is able to send at a high speed of explicit information about their products to be copied. * Learned knowledge cannot be duplicated very easily.

The reasons for an emphasis on resources based views:
The steady need for focusing on the managing knowledge within the company will result in the following:
• The customer’s demands will affect the market-driven and economical requirements, along with a competition in the international world.
• Increasing their customer’s demand for their products and services, and their needs to be fulfilled at a detailed way.
• Personnel turn around can led to loss of knowledge to the company.
