During my attendance at Knox College thus far and seeing the guidance programme at work, my honest opinion regarding the guidance programme is that, it has help me a lot during my time at Knox College. It has done so by giving meaningful and aspirating advice to young students such as myself, that will be going out into todays’ society. I also love the way the guidance counselors are straight forward with their students, by not hiding or censoring anything from the students and putting what they have to say straight out on the table, then explaining it in full details to the students, so that they can understand what todays’ world is really like. One other aspect about the guidance programme that I’m really glad and grateful for, is how they are able to use real life situations as examples to show us young adults, yes “young adults”, that we should be careful of the choices and decisions we make because we are no longer children that need to be breast feed by our mothers, but as young adults who will bring change to our generation and future generations to come.

I also view parents’ day to be very helpful for the students. It gives the parents a chance to see how their child/children behaves and conducts his/herself in a school environment. It also provides opportunities to see how well their child/children are progressing thus far in the school year. It now helps the students, by seeing how much their parents/guardian are committed to their social and educational development. Giving a sense of thankfulness, most students work hard if not harder to make their parents proud of them.

Next is Career day. To me it is the best thing for students who might or might not be sure of what career they would like to do in the future. It also gives students inside details of their career choice or choices, so that they can know what career is best suited for them and what college or university can contribute to their goals. Many students may want to switch careers due to a lack of certain skills or interest. Career day now allows them to see what other options and choices they have, seeing as how it offers multiple information on certain careers that are available. The class sessions are really great, but I would rather if there were two sessions instead of one for guidance. Seeing as how we are able to learn so much during guidance class, I feel as if one session just doesn’t cut it. I believe that with the second session we would be able to learn lots more and have better discussions if this was done. Other than the class sessions for guidance, I would have to say that the guidance programme is top notch and has and will be a great asset to Knox College and to its students.

CHAPTER 1- My Life Philosophy

Philosophy is the study of general and fundamental problems, such as those connected with reality, existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language. Philosophy is distinguished from other ways of addressing such problems by its critical, generally systematic approach and its reliance on rational argument. In more casual speech, by extension, "philosophy" can refer to "the most basic beliefs, concepts, and attitudes of an individual or group".

There are many life philosophies that I go by, but there are only three main ones that have made a great impact in my life. The first would have to be “It is not the result of an action, but the reason for that action, which makes it good or bad.” This for me tells that with every decision one makes there is always going to be an outcome, but it’s up to the individual whether that outcome is a positive or negative one. That’s why with every decision I make; I try my best to make it a positive one that will not make only me happy, but also others around me happy as well.

"The key to success is hard work and determination" my life philosophy. My philosophy explicitly states that the key to success is hard work and determination during my tenure at this noble institution so far my life has motivated me .In order to be successful in the society we are now living in one has to work hard to achieve his or her goals or endeavors in order to be successful. Education is an important aspect of any individuals' life in order to be successful academically and also to show their aspirations of achieving career from which they gain an income and sustain their lives. You have to work hard if you hope or aspire to be a successful individual because it's through working hard that you can dream to aspire success or greatness academically or otherwise. Determination is also important because one might be faced with different challenges or limitations but one has to know how to overcome these limitations.
My tenure at this noble institution would not be successful or as successful or as successful as it without the motivation I got from these life philosophies which have made me motivated and to a further extent successful thus far. Niti Servire Neque Cedre the motto of this noble institution Knox College is also one of my life philosophies which is Latin phrase for To Strive To Serve And To Yield. I have now come to the realization that in order to be successful one has to strive for he or she wants to acquire in life. In the fast paced world we are now living in, where education is of utmost importance one has to work assiduously. My tenure at this noble institution is soon coming to an end where I will be faced with the ways of today's society, but in remembering our schools motto and my other philosophies in know there is nothing that is impossible for me to accomplish. These philosophies have shown to help with my determination and also with my self-esteem. They may have been used by many other individuals, but I am positive that for each person, it shows a different message for them and it may also have an even a stronger and greater impact on their lives, than it did mine. The word "philosophy" comes from the Ancient Greek word philosophia, which literally means "love of wisdom". This is why these philosophies have great meaning and significants to others, as it does to me. To have a love of wisdom, is to also have a love of God, which from him we are able to gain knowledgeand understanding if we so desire.

I have goals in which I wish to accomplish, and these philosophies keep me on track, to work towards these goals and not to stray away from them. They are a constant reminder for what I wish to accomplish and without out them I believe that it would show what type of person I am and what type of person I wish to become. It shows my morals and beliefs, and creates an image of the person i wish to become.

CHAPTER 2- KNOX COLLEGE

As my years at the "Big Big School" Knox College, comes to an end, I will not forget all the happy and enjoyable moments I have experienced. I know that you may be thinking that us as teenagers have nothing to be sad or depressed about, so these should be the most enjoyable times of our teenage lives, due to the reasons that we are only high school students and have no real responsibilities as adults and parents do, which may be true in some cases, but this is not all ways the case. As humans we all experience these emotions, it doesn't matter if you are young are old, we all experience these emotions at some point in our lives, and these emotions tend to act most on school student, due to bullying, problems at home, growing up without a father/mother, sometimes without both. These things affect us students as well and continue to affect us as we become adults.

My name is Barrington Fitzauthor Lee, and this is my autobiography account of my years at Knox College thus far. There have been fun and sad moments and not so fun moments at Knox for me. When I was in grade six, at Mandeville Primary & Junior High School, and I found out that I had pass for my second choice (Knox College) I was overwhelm with excitement, because this was the school that would help me to achieve my goals to success. My first impression of the school when i first arrived, was that it was really huge and that; it occupies about 100 acres (40 ha) of land. I was amazed with how many clubs and extracurricular activities. It was filled with many options and it was never really hard to learn, for the teachers thought really good and made it a priority that their students understood what they were teaching.

But in September of my first year at Knox College, I started to lose track on what my plans were for the future, and started to focus only on girls, can you believe this? And I was only in first form. I guess I started to take too much interest in girls at that time. This continued until I was now in the third grade, and my grades continued to get lower and lower until I had finally put the girls behind me, and started putting my future and goals as my first priorities. During this time the teachers of Knox College worked with me the best that they could, and my grades then started to improve. I started to become aware of what i was doing, and i saw myself going down the wrong path. This made me depressed, thinking that i would repeat and might even get expelled. But in times of weakness God's power is made stronger and perfect. I was able to change into a respectable and hard working
