According to NCQA (2014), HEDIS is a tool used by more than 90% of America’s health plans to measure performance on important dimensions of care and service. Most of the data items that are within the OASIS is in the context of a CMS-funded national research program, which is (co-funded by the Robert Wood Johnson foundation) that is to develop a system of outcome measures for home health care measures.
