Hankook Sarang (Love for Korea) has become synonymous with Korean gastronomic experience in Kathmandu. Immaculate in its services, it brings age-old flavors of traditional Korean cooking. Exotic herbs and fragrance are tempting enough to make your taste buds go "yum". The eatery offers wide range of Korean delicacies blending the traditional and contemporary method of food preparation. The owner of the restaurant states that he established this restaurant because he wanted the Nepalese people to experience the Korean dishes and provide its services to the Korean food lover in Nepal. They also offer a wide variety of authentic Korean cuisine. The service is friendly and there’s a pleasant alfresco garden. SWOT ANALYSIS
S.W.O.T is an acronym that stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. A SWOT analysis is an organized list of your business’s greatest strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
Strengths and weaknesses are internal to the company (reputation, patents, location). You can change them over time but not without some work. Opportunities and threats are external (suppliers, competitors, prices) they are out there in the market, happening whether you like it or not. You can’t change them.

Opportunities: * Good location * Expansion of business by opening it in other cities like Dharan * Order the food through the internet * Home delivery service * Serves as well as non-Korean food * Free internet Wi-Fi with Garden * Creating new menu * Innovation in customer services * Korean food lover

Threats: * Faces many competitors * Opening of many Korean restaurants * Prices are all high * Economic and political turbulence. * Competitors like Villa Everest Korean restaurant, Saan Sarang Korean restaurant, Haemil Korean restaurant, Gyoung Bok Gung Korean restaurant can make it difficult for Hankook Sarang to attract more customers.

CONCLUSION
Hankook Sarang is a Korean restaurant that has its outlet in Jawalakhel and Thamel. It has now also opened its restaurant in Dharan. This place has been popular among Korean food lovers since the time it opened in 2005. Sam Gyeop Sal, Bul Gogi, Bibimbab, Je-Yook-Bokum, Kimbab Sushi etc. are highly popular items from its kitchen. This place has seating arrangements that can accommodate a reasonably sized crowd of 150 people, indoors, outdoors and in the terrace. There are lovely paintings, art decors, wood paneling, stone-tiled floor, low seating arrangements, all of which add to the homely feel of the place. The bar has a selection of imported and local brands of liquors. There's a Karaoke Lounge here and Wi-Fi facility too. This place is recommended for casual gatherings, birthday celebrations and for family lunch/dinner. Hankook Sarang is a rare combination of authentic Korean taste and good value. Overall, Hankook Sarang is one of the best restaurants in Kathmandu which provides Korean cuisine. (Hankook Sarang)

Marketing Plans

...but if done poorly then the product, service or individual will fail. One of the first steps a company must take is to make a plan; a marketing plan. Definition of Marketing Plan According to Kotler and Keller (2009) marketing plan is “written documentation that summarizes what the marketer has learned about the marketplace, indicates how the firm plans to reach its marketing objectives, and helps direct and coordinate the marketing effort.” Basically the book is defining marketing plans as something in writing that helps solve customers’ problems profitably and includes activities that create customer satisfaction (AIU live chat, 2011).  Marketing Plans: an Example of Success One example of a successful marketing plan was used by Hankook Tire America Corp. This marketing plan will help build brand recognition and accelerate its growing market share in the United States. This year the company has planned for television and printed advertisements that range from commercials on ESPN, Discovery, Spike, Speed, CNN, and many others. Their printed advertisements will be seen in Maxim, Men’s Health, Popular Mechanics, and Forbes, just to name a few. Advertisements will be seen on baseball fields, race tracks, and billboards as well as in the form...

Joseph Lightwies: Homeless Veterans

...Not only do they help veterans, but they also help their families when they are in need. The DAV has made such a positive impact on the community and the veterans who have been helped in a time of need. The story of Joseph Lightwies is a great example of the impact the DAV left on him as he now is a member of the DAV and serves others just like him. The DAV has multiple sources for funding such as its corporate sponsors Ford, USAA, Golden Corral, and Hankook Tires. Also the DAV takes donations, holds fundraisers, and a small amount of funding comes from membership fees. The money goes towards financially supporting veterans and their families and towards public awareness outreaches. The DAV effectively uses these funds as they are very transparent about where the money is going. The “DAV helps veterans with over 250,000 benefits claims and gives approximately $4 billion every year” (DAV). This chart shows how much of the funding went towards each area. Volunteering Homeless Veterans

...mission is to take care of the medical, mental health and emotional needs of the veterans. I know I started to seek help at the VA when I felt my depression taking over me and anxiety of how would I function without the military. There are a lot of us who have trouble coping after discharge. Clinical services are also provided as a continuity of care for patients in need for long term care (Lambert, Michael T.). In the future we hope to have come up with a plan to decrease depression and the amount of medication need to treat it to prevent suicide. Community Partnerships/Organization The DAV have corporate partners in place for funding these events or letting us use their spaces to host. Partners such as Golden Corral, USAA, Ford and Hankook who gives proceeds to our veterans and some give discounts on purchases made at their establishments. There is a group of people who work for The Mission Continues Fellowship Program, that collects and document data on the demographics, satisfactory outcomes, impact and overall experience of our servicemembers. The findings reveal that we as a community are making progress in the right direction to help our vets overcome some obstacles. I am a full member of the Wounded Warrior Project and their mission is like that of the VA, serve those who once served. They are in place where there are not too many VA facilities and operate as a non-profit organization. In conclusion as you have read above, volunteering is not just for the individual...

Korean Cosmetic Surgery

...Gloria Davies and Gil-Soo Han KoreAn coSmetic SurGery AnD DiGitAl publicity: beAuty by KoreAn DeSiGn Abstract This article examines the relationship between digital publicity and cosmetic surgery. While focused on South Korea, it also discusses China because of the conspicuous Chinese demand for Korean cosmetic surgery in recent years. In fact, China has become the largest export market for Korean cosmetic surgery. The analysis is based on the premise that there is a vital link between cosmetic surgery and digital technology in both these countries. We argue that the celebrity culture spawned by entertainment media has facilitated the normalisation of cosmetic surgery to the extent that it is commonly viewed, quite unproblematically, as a form of human physiological enhancement. The article examines the publicity surrounding cosmetic surgery (comprising media reports, advertisements and commentaries) to see how it is presented in the Korean media and on the internet. These findings are then considered in relation to the promotion of Korean cosmetic surgery in China. In the 2000s, Korean cosmetic surgery rose as a by-product of the massive cultural phenomenon known as Hallyu, or the ‘Korean wave’. Hallyu represents Korea’s media success: its entertainment products have generated enormous revenues since the first exports of Korean popular culture in the 1990s. In 2009, Hallyu revenues were estimated to have reached US$6 billion (cited in Oh, 2010). Cosmetic surgery was first...
