The 2015 Hardee’s Jr ad presented at the Super bowl football game, it was part of a series of advertisements launched by this food chain company, using young beautiful woman, little clothes, provocative scenes and lot of sex, intended to catch the attention of mostly males population, luring them with the old sex and beauty formula, and because of that it is a success promoting and getting attention, even if we do not agree with it, but at the same time it is a campaign of misleading, selling a product that is unhealthy, promoting women as an object and influencing in the minds of the viewers. The video’s scene begins in the outside of a country barn with a country song in the background, then inside a big farm work truck covered with …show more content…
Magazines, radio, boards, and most of all televisions, are invaded with every kind of publicity that we can think of. The power of the advertisement over people thoughts is tremendous. The influence over people’s actions and choices is the main reason why big companies are investing millions of dollars every year to reach the public with their products. Therefore, the message in these ads change over the time and actually everyone now can acknowledge the use of the female appealing image, to sell a product. In the video description presented before, we can see the provocative use of the female body and the almost incendiary use of the sex to sell a burger. And in this case, there is an open contradiction between this unhealthy food and a beautiful, perfect fit body’s woman. We support the idea of that knowledge and information about the nutritional information, could be an important tool that public can use to think about what can of food they are taking to their table, more specifically, to their mouth. Public needs to know, for example, the nutritional information to be aware of the consequences of that kind of unhealthy eating. According to brandeating.com, in just one Carl's Jr of 1/3 lbs., Texas BBQ Thickburger that weights 349g, the calories per serving are 1040. The amount of fat is 510g, the saturated fat is 57g, the amount per serving of sodium is 2430mg, and the Carbs are 86grams with 35grams of sugar and 40 grams of Protein. In an effort to make people consciously aware that, publicity companies, will use any technique to sell a product. We are completely blind and stunned by the provocative images, because like it or not sex sell. The boundaries of what is considered obscene or offensive are being tested every day during that three-minute advertising spot in our television programming.
