Harry T. and Harriette V. Moore both fought for our society to change because it was purely sad how society treated the black community. In today's world, racist people, racism and unequal rights still exist. The Moores’ can show today's society that change can happen and that we should all strive to change ourselves and others. There are a few ways that the Moores’ life, legacy, and work can influence our society today to strive for change. They can be inspired from how the Moores’ saw the way the world could be, how they fought so long and hard for equal rights, and how mature they were about the whole situation.

In the past year or so, there have been police officers being brutal to African Americans, there has been suicide due to racial bullying, gun violence against African Americans, and much more. There is absolutely no reason for the hatred towards the black community because they are the same as the white community. Why did we even start making them the bad ones? Why aren’t we, the white community, the bad ones that don’t belong? There is no correct answer for those two questions because there isn’t a bad and good side in this situation. In today's society, if you are are social media famous and you make someone mad on twitter, they will leak your number or do other immature things to get revenge. If this is the way we are supposed to handle anger, then our society is going to go straight down and eventually everyone will hate everyone and friends and trust will no longer be a thing. If we could teach everyone at a young age to grow up mature, we could quickly solve this continuous issue and have a better society for once and for all. I feel that nobody pays attention to a kids personality, instead they care more about their education. But, if a child isn’t well educated on how to present themselves, speak well, and say things with a certain tone, how are they going to do well in an interview? Everyone seems to think education only deals with math english science history and an extra activity. But education also includes life skills that we all need to survive in this world on our own.

There are so many people, including the Moores that can inspire and influence our society to be better and strive change. Society seems to think change is bad, but if we are making improvements, its great. If we could change the mindset of our society and government, our lives would be so much less chaotic and civil. The Moores life, legacy, and work can show and inspire our society so much, but to society, history has nothing to
