The people that invented the airplane’s name where Wilbur and Orville, Wilbur was born in april 16, 1867, Orville was born in august 18, 1871. In the year 1878 their dad brought back a small toy helicopter for his boys. Made of cork, bamboo and paper, and powered by a rubber band to twirl its blades, the model was based on a a build by the French plane pioneer Alphonse Pénaud. Amazed by the toy and its mechanics, Orville and Wilbur would grow a lifelong love of aeronautics and flying.
