...CHAPTER 1 The Problem and Its Setting Introduction Lice are tiny parasitic insects that live to suck blood from the scalp of a human. It can be transferred from one person to another if their heads become close to each another. These became a huge problem for humans because not only it is itchy but are also multiplying fast. To solve this problem scientist found out that coconut oil is good in getting rid of lice. As Kerry Wennerstern (2013) says, coconut oil is one of those natural remedies that you can use that won’t harm your child and it worked a treat and so much easier and safer than using any commercial product. Coconut oil is one of the most used oil in all different aspects. It can be used as a moisturizer, as massage oil that has soothing effect, and one interesting use of it is as treatment of lice removal. Some other remedies in removing lice with coconut oil is combined with another ingredient so that it would be more effective. Coconut oil can be bought in supermarkets as is or can be made manually by extracting it from a coconut. In the Philippines that is a tropical country; a lot of kids tend to get lice especially during summer because lice love to hide under the hair or basically our scalp that is covered by our hair. Dr. Cheryl L. Levin (2012) a dermatologist said that lice are not because of poor hygiene. As for that many Filipinos do this kind of practice especially in province where a lot of coconut grows. ...Tip No. 5: Don't get flustered when uncomfortable questions arise. The big four questions almost always rear their heads in a phone screen in one-way or another: Tell me about yourself. Tell me about your biggest strength/weakness. What are your salary expectations? And where do you expect to be in five years? There are numerous articles dealing with these and similar questions. Review them, and practice your answers many times. Tip No. 6: Do your homework and prepare great questions to ask. You will likely be given an opportunity to ask questions. Use it to show your enthusiasm, ask about this or that aspect of the job, or ask about how you would be able to use X in your background to do Y. Never use this as an opportunity to ask about their process, start dates, salary, benefits or anything else they can do for you. Tip No. 7: Control your environment. Always arrange to be in a quiet, well-lit room, free from distractions. Sit in a chair with relevant materials easily in front of you. Give your sole, focused attention to your interviewer, and whenever possible make sure you are on a landline rather than shaky cell connection. When you keep these tips in mind, you'll jump through the first hoop with ease, and be prepared for the in-person interview. Happy hunting! ...me both got up got our stuff and put it inside the car and headed off to the scout hut. When we got there Cade was already there waiting for everyone else to get there. When we got out I said “Cade, are you ready?” and of course we all know what he said “Yep.” I just started to walk around waiting for Mr. Valcaro to get here until Cades dad just got a text saying Mr. Vacaro forgot to get some paperwork and it will be another 10 minutes before he gets there. It was the slowest ten minutes of my life because I was so eager to get on the road. Finally he got here and I said “it took you guys long enough!” Everyone started laughing as we got our stuff in his suburban. I gave my mom a hug goodbye and we were off on the road. I rested my head on the side of the window not listening to anyone’s conversation exempt for the guns and roses that was playing on the radio. When we got there we unloaded everything went through checking and sat there for about 30 minutes waiting for our flight to board. When the flight attendants called for boarding I got up half asleep and boarded and but my day pack in the holder and crashed for the rest of the flight. We departure at 6:00 and got to Chicago at 9. I asked my dad If I could get something to eat and he said sure. We both went to café looking place and I got a egg and cheese sandwich and went back to where our plane is supposed to take departure. ...second set of works this paper compares and contrasts is the Head of Poseidon, 227 - 221 B.C., bronze,(3) and The Pharaoh Ramesses II., 1279 -1212 B.C., granodiorite (4) at the Museum of Fine Art - Houston. The Virgin and Child is around 3 feet tall; she is wearing a gown that drapes around her and covers her head like a veil. The gown has the look of gathering and draping over her body, and her abdomen bulges out slightly from under it. Her face has a slight smile, her eyes are uneven but gentle, and she is missing her right hand. She is holding a child with her left arm cradling the bottom of the child and her left hand comes from under and over the front of the child. She holds him on her left side almost at shoulder level. The child is missing his head and left hand , his right hand is held up towards the virgin's face with two of the child's fingers pointed up . The Ennatum, Prince of Lagash is around one foot tall. The work is a light sand colored statue of a small man with no hair standing with his blue eyes open; his one eyebrow comes over both eyes and merges in the center, and he has a very subtle smile on his face. He stands with no shirt, and his hands are folded together over his chest , just below his blue nipples. He wears a skirt that hangs to the knees. The sculpture appears smooth except for the cracks around his knees. The Greek-Hellenistic Head of Poseidon is the size of an average human head. His color is green and he is smooth and shiny. The face has details...

... then starting to load a shell into the gun (he always kept gun and ammunition separately) and realizing that he only had one shot gun shell with him. That made the shot more important because he knew he would only have one opportunity to shoot the snake. Then, suddenly, he saw a second snake next to the first, and realized that he was seeing two full grown rattlesnakes in some sort of mating ceremony. He carefully slid his one shell into the gun, and watched. The snakes neared each other. They seemed to meet eyes. They seemed to fall in love. They started a slow, sensuous movement, moving their bodies in the dust in strange, swirling S patterns. Then they reared up, their heads close together, their eyes locked in love. Bam! My father shot his one shell, and neatly blew both snakes' head off. Such are the tales I grew up on. Doesn't it make a strange sort of sense that I learned early to be wary of...

...act) I jumped on the machine. I set the treadmill to a walking setting and cracked the bag of Doritos® open and began to munch away. The first minute or-so I was absorbed with my nervousness and did not pay much attention to anything or anyone that was not attached to my machine. I was already in the act so I finally started to look around nonchalantly while eating my chips and somewhat rocking out to the music while exercising. I noticed the two people next to me were trying to not give me attention. But curiosity is something that over-rides many impulses. I began to really feel more comfortable with this act. The lady next to me glanced at me and I made eye contact. I gave a head nod and gestured with my bag as to ask, “Do you want some?” She actually responded with a smile and shook her head in “no” manner. I am pretty sure she was giggling and I might have made her day and a good story for her to tell to her friends and family later. I was in the back row because I wanted to be seen from all angles. When people were getting off of their machine in front of me I noticed them staring. Some people...

...Because the cluster head will perform the additional task of data aggregation it will dissipate more energy and if it will remain the Cluster head permanently then it will die quickly. LEACH will face this problem by randomly rotating cluster head to save the battery of individual node. Each node uses a particular algorithm at each round to decide whether to become a cluster head or not. In order to become a cluster head, that node should have higher energy level than others. Thus the ultimate goal of LEACH protocol is to increase the lifetime of whole system by selecting cluster head among more powerful sensor network. The process of implementation of LEACH includes many rounds. Each round contains two phase a) cluster set-up phase b) steady...

...still feeling bad from the night before. My boyfriend decided at the last minute to surprise me and four of our children with a day at the beach the day before. We left with only the clothes on our backs and bathing suits. It was only after we arrived that we decided to stay the night. So we got us a room at the Sea Foam motel in Nags Head, NC. After I was finally able to get up from the bed, I woke the children up to get ready so we could leave. We all took showers, packed up all our belongings and headed out. It was well past the check-out time before we left, but the housekeeper just laughed and told us to take our time. We all jumped into the van and pulled out from the motel. We took a right out of the parking lot heading north on Highway 12, intent on going home. After driving only a few blocks, we took a left onto Forbes St. and then another left onto Highway 158 south. We stopped at the Food Lion and picked up a few snacks and sandwich makings. When we left the grocery store we drove about a mile south before stopping at a Shell service station to fill up with gas. We pulled out of the service station onto Highway 12 and continued to head south. During our journey, the view to my left was large sand hills covered in tall grass. Every now and then you could catch a glimpse of the ocean. The scenery to my right consisted mainly of trees and shrubbery. Just miles before reaching the Herbert C. Bonner Bridge, I looked over to my right, just over the trees, to see the Bodie...

...10 yards away The wheels on the bus went round and round, all the way to Hayes school, our fierce local rivals. It was only a 5 mile trip seemed to last forever. Nervous wasn’t the word on how everyone was feeling about this game, even the coach was on his tip-toes. Splashes were the only sound could be heard as the wheels ran through the new rain puddles that were created earlier that day. It was dead silent; you could have heard a pin drop. We all knew what was at stake. This wasn’t just a game. For each of us it was a different thing, but on both sides of the ball we knew that in order to have bragging rights for the rest of our lives this would be the game that we would have to win. Every other game that season didn't matter as long as we won this game. This has a local derby feeling to it, Montague vs. Capulet’s, Israel vs. Palestine, a David and goliath battle. Every goal would be remembered on those days when we would be sitting down as old men drinking beer. This was the type of game that every tackle, shot and every block counted. We knew that we will be partying with them on nights out and we wanted bragging rights. The bus was not a sleeping silence; it was more of a tense silence. The type of silent there is when a group of civilians enter the surrounding of another expecting to leave with something they shouldn't. The main thing we were expecting to leave with was respect. It’s all about respect. Atmosphere in the ground was crazy, both sets of fans chanting before...

...The walking dead which is by far my favorite show on television right now had its mid season 3 premiere tbhis past Sunday and it was a good one. Although one of the most frustraiting episodes ive ever watched I found it very entertaing and definatley left viewers scratching their heads on with some things as well as yelling at the tv for what I for one thought were stupid decisions. Apparently I was not the only one because the ratings crushed any other show that was on the air that night and broke cable viewing records with 12.3 million viewers. The episode began with the small assault on the town run by “the governor” in which the group saved Darryl meryl and andrea. Rescusing merel instantly brought problems with the rest o fthe group. It seemed as though no one in the group wanted merel to come back with them except Darryl. Now this was not surprising as merel is the definition of douchebag and I for one like him on the show to keep things interesting but just as much want someone to step up and take care of him. Soon as they escape before they head back to the prsison they must decide to let merel back and when rick makes the right choice and decides not to take him, Darryl is infuriated because that is his brother. Blood being thicker thamn water Darryl decides to take his chances with his brother and leaves the group. The group is infuriated and I imagine many viewers are as well because for me Darryl is my favorite character and usually the coolest guy on the entire...

...The Western Experience Andrew Dorsey HST/155 February 22, 2015 Dr. Kenneth Miller Day 84 We have been in California for almost 3 months and still have not found a steady supply of gold like some other places. We are planning on heading farther north soon and see if we can find more there. The nights are cold here in the fall and we only expect it to get worse in the winter. Living in our tents are as big of a burden as finding food. One of the guys, Wilson, knows how to play the guitar and sings us songs around the campfire to keep spirits up. Hopefully we will find something soon or we might have to head back. Day 98 We headed farther north and we finally found a good steady stream to pull gold out of. We have found enough to trade for supplies and food from others and are hoping to find even more if we head farther upstream. Times are definitely looking up for now. It is starting to get crowded here and we have had to defend ourselves from several foreigners trying to take gold from us. Luckily none of us got hurt too bad, but Wilson’s guitar is broke. It doesn’t stop him from singing his songs at the campfire though. Day 112 We made our trip upstream after gathering enough supplies and we found a surprising amount of untouched gold. We have started building a log cabin as it is starting to get cold but we are bringing up enough gold to make it all worth it. We have a hiding hole about half a mile north we drop our gold in and bury every night to keep...
