Health Science Career Research Paper

...The past couple of years in this Health Science endorsement has helped me decide that I want to continue my time in this program. Throughout my high school years I have taken many science courses, making me more encouraged to explore in this area of study. In freshman year, I took biology and that was the first step to something great. I really enjoyed learning about the human body and the entire human existence. This year as a junior I took anatomy and physiology, physics, and health science and clinical rotations, and I love each one. All three science classes helped further my learning experience on the different science aspects and what each has to offer. My career aspiration is to become a Pediatrician, which is a doctor who specializes in helping kids get better. The Health Science clinical rotations benefited me by helping me understand and get a better grasp on what I need to know to be in the medical field. This class will help me get better at my communication skills with patients and learn what it is like to be in their shoes going through what they are. Even though I am an intern with my Pediatrician, I feel like this class will help improve/ benefit how I approach things in such situations, such as,...

What Is Research

...What is Research Katrina Rubio MHA614: Policy Formation and Leadership in Health Organizations Dr. Chanda Holsey May 21, 2012 Introduction Writing papers for school or proposals for your job means you have to look up information about whatever it is you are writing about, this is called research. Research is defined as the collecting of information about a particular subject (Research, 2012). You can’t write any papers properly without conducting some sort of research on the subject and the supporting evidence. What does Research mean to me? According to Tutt (2008), “Research could mean different things to different people and how they conduct the research could also be different.” Finding the ways to conduct the research and identifying exactly what to look for differs from person to person. Research is a powerful tool that will enable the one conducting the research to gain knowledge on the subject and be able to speak about it with great insight. To me, research is very important for anything, not just writing papers but looking up information on anything you may be interested in. When I was pregnant, I researched every single thing I could think of and that helped out a lot to be more informed about what was going on with me and my unborn baby. At every doctor’s appointment I was well educated and was able to ask my doctor really important questions if something didn’t seem right or if I just needed more information. Not only did I use research when I...

This little quiz helps them determine how much money they will need to earn in order to live the lifestyle they would like to have. This income amount in turn helps open their eyes to the type of job necessary to achieve that income and what amount of education is involved. It was a real wake up call for many of my students. In this package I have also included a grading rubric for the project and a list of possible career choices for their assignment.
