Daycare or Hell Hole?
A daycare center is a horrible place to work at. I’m sure everyone knows that one kid who is ridiculously annoying; try being surrounded by 15 or more. It’s beneficial that you at least get paid for being torture, right? You would think so until you realize you’re only getting minimum wage. The owner will blame that on the parents who don’t pay their tuition fees and payments on time. People should not want to work at a day care because the children are out of control, there are no employee benefits, and parents are rude.
If someone had a horribly behaving child I feel like they sent them to one place, my job. Kids were filthy: covered in dirt, had pretty bad smelling feet, and their hands always seemed to have something sticky on them. The kids who weren’t potty trained yet had the ability to make a person reconsider even having kids. There was once a time when a boy smeared poop all over the bathroom walls. The children fought over everything: who answered first, whose dad was taller, and of course toys. According to the owner, the parents were the source of why teachers got paid minimum wage. The parents didn’t make their payments on time if there was even a payment at all. No matter how many times we warned the parent that their fees were due they always had some type of excuse. If the parent didn’t pay on time some ones check was going to be short or they had to get paid later on in the week. Parents also had excuses for why they picked up their child late every day like: traffic, alarm didn’t go off, or the nail lady was painting too slowly. The worst situation a teacher has to deal with is if their child gets hurt. The parents automatically assume that the teachers weren’t paying attention or weren’t watching the
