IBRAHIM KHOLILULLAH, DEPT OF AG.FINANCE, BAU MOB: 01718996557) AREAS OF BOGRA DISTRICT Introduction Solar panel refers to a panel designed to absorb the sun's rays as a source of energy for generating electricity. Electricity is the prime mover for the advancement of all economic and industrial activities. About 59% of total population live in rural and isolated areas and most of them have no electricity access. This scenario is more acute in the rural and isolated areas in Bangladesh where only about 25% have electricity access ( Energy Bangla, January, 2014 ). Bangladesh is a semi-tropical region lying in northeastern part of South Asia gets abundant sunlight year round. The average bright sunshine duration in Bangladesh in the dry season is about 7.6 hours a day, and in the monsoon season is about 4.7 hours, Solar energy can be harnessed. So, solar panel technology is advised. A total of 3,00,000 solar panels had been installed in more than 40,000 villages of 456 upazilas of all districts of Bangladesh. Daily on average 44 MW electricity is being produced by these solar panels.( Momotaz and Karim,2012).Now a days solar panel is applied in different aspects such as solar based recharging station ,solar cooking etc. It presents an attractive alternative to conventional electricity such as no monthly bills, no fuel cost, little repair and maintenance costs, easy to install any where etc. The solar panel technology is very...

Education has had a huge impact to peoples lives and there is a significant difference in the educational achievement based class, ethnicity and gender. A child`s social background has a huge impact on the success in education and their life in future. On average children from middle class families perform well in school, get better GCSE results, stay longer in full time education than children from the working class families. Majority of children from middle class families will go to university compared to the children from working class families. Statistics show that 77% of students from parents with higher professional jobs will achieve 5 or more GCSE, 66% from parents with lower professional, 40% from parents with intermediate jobs and 33% from parents with routine jobs or unemployed, reason being that most middle class parents will afford to take children to private schools or pay for private tuition (webb, r etal2008). ...Running Head: MOTIVATIONAL THEORIES AND THEIR EFFECTS ON THE WORKPLACE Motivational Theories and Their Effects on the Workforce Hooriyeh Ali College of Business Management Abstract The definition of motivation has been given. Motivational theories have been explained, and their examples have been given. Theories of Maslow (1943), Herzberg (1959), and McGregor (1960) and so on are discussed. The effects of motivational theories on the workplace are studied and analysed, with practical examples given as support. Effects of Motivational Theories on the Workforce According to Steers, Mowday and Shapiro (2004), motivation is derived from the Latin word movere, which literally means movement. Allen (1998) provides the definition, that motivation is a set of processes which inspire people to achieve their goal. Motivation, over all, is a drive which makes people pursue their aims and ambitions, and makes it possible for people to achieve them. In this report, we study the effects motivational theories have on the workforce. Many popular motivational theories have arisen, such as Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy of needs (1943), Frederick Herzberg’s two factor theory (1959) and Douglas McGregor’s theory X and theory Y (1960). These theories deal with the needs and wants of employees, the types of employees found, and most importantly how to deal with demotivated employees and how to motivate them. Maslow’s hierarchy of needs structures the dependency of...

We will also discuss how human resource development has changed over time, and why it is important in the modern competitive arena. The next section explores how human resource management has been modified to reflect the step changes in markets and production requirements over time. After explaining what is meant by strategy, the third section develops key strategic issues in human resource development. We will also investigate how human resources can play a profoundly important part in developing and implementing strategy within an organization. Next, the emergence of human resources as a strategic issue is explored in greater depth.
