Hinduism and Buddhism are two of the most popular transcendentalist religions and both were and still are widely accepted in India. Both religions are works based religions and are based on the fact that man can reach ultimate happiness by living a good life and doing good deeds. Hinduism, however, has some distinguishing traits that set it apart from Buddhism. One is that it teaches reincarnation. Reincarnation is the belief that when a good person dies, they will be reincarnated into a higher class and if a bad person dies, they will be reincarnated into a lower class or even become an animal. Another is the Hindu god, Brahman. Brahman is supposedly the one god over all of the other gods that the Hindus worship. Buddhism also has its
