...CM Punk report Phillip Jack "Phil" Brooks[1] (born October 26, 1978),[4] better known by his ring name CM Punk, is an American retiredprofessional wrestler. He is currently signed to WWE, but abruptly left the company on January 27, 2014. He is titled in the company as "the longest-reigning WWE Champion of the modern era", having held the title for 434 days from November 20, 2011 to January 27, 2013. Punk is officially recognized as the sixth-longest reigning champion of all time.[10][11] In June, after pinning WWE Champion John Cena on Raw,[138] Rey Mysterio at Capitol Punishment[139]and finally Alberto Del Rio again in a contendership match (which included Mysterio) all within one week, Punk revealed his contract would expire at Money in the Bank and vowed to leave the company with theWWE Championship; some of his speeches and mannerisms echoed his final months with Ring of Honor. After making a scathing on-air speech concerning the way in which WWE is run and its owner Vince McMahon, he was given a storyline suspension from televised WWE events[140] but was reinstated the following week on Cena's insistence.[141] Upon his return, Punk ceased to appear with the remaining members of Nexus and the group quietly dissolved that month.[142] This helped transition him from a villainous character back to being afan-favorite. Two weeks later, at Money in the Bank, CM Punk defeated John Cena to become the WWE Champion on his final night under contract with WWE.[141] ...

Then, the aim of this study is to investigate the potential of unit systems packed with this support in terms of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide emissions treatment. Two laboratory scale pilot biofilters were used. A volumetric load of 680 g H2 S mÀ3 empty bed dayÀ1 and 85 g NH3 mÀ3 empty bed dayÀ1 was applied for eight weeks to a unit called BGSn (column packed with granulated sludge and mainly supplied with hydrogen sulfide); a volumetric load of 170 g H2 S mÀ3 empty bed dayÀ1 and 340 g NH3 mÀ3 empty bed dayÀ1 was applied for eight weeks to the other called BGNs (column packed with granulated sludge and mainly supplied with ammonia). Ammonia and hydrogen sulfide elimination occur in the biofilters simultaneously...

...The Manhattan Project Nuclear research all started when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, and the United States entered into World War II. When the United States realized that Germany attempted to build an atomic bomb, Americans began to concentrate on their research about creating an atomic bomb more heavily. President Franklin D. Roosevelt created the Manhattan Project, which included a group of top scientists, under General Leslie R. Groves, who worked around the clock to try to develop an atomic bomb within three years (Bondi 493). The Americans and the British combined their efforts to research the development of the bomb and created plants and factories to work in (“The Atomic Bomb…” 257). They created plants for three separate processes: electromagnetic, gaseous diffusion, and thermal diffusion. These plants helped create the plutonium and uranium 235 needed to manufacture the atomic bomb (Gerdes 142). The secrecy of the Manhattan Project was essential in order to develop the atomic bombs to end World War II. The United States and Great Britain kept the development of the atomic bomb a secret (Bondi 493). In order to keep the secret, Groves spread the work out between laboratories so that the people working on the bomb could not figure out they were manufacturing. The members of the Manhattan Project asked the scientists questions about the bomb, and they gave answers back, but they did not know what the responses were for. The project consisted of so many restrictions...

...report on March 1, 1998, ten days before the annual board of directors meeting. Bert, the manager from Goodman & Goodman in charge of the Toys City engagement, recalls that last year there was a 25 percent budget overrun. He attributes one-third of the overrun to unforeseen circumstances and the remaining two-thirds to poor planning. He estimates that poor planning resulted in approximately 130 hours and $3,400 in audit fees that were not billed to Toys City. In an effort to avoid another costly overrun, Bert wisely decided to devote more time to audit planning. By talking to various people, Bert learns that a project management technique known as Critical Path Method (CPM) could assist an auditor in sequencing all audit detail work (including work requested from client personnel), efficiently allocating personnel resources, highlighting potential audit bottlenecks, estimating completion time, determining the probability of meeting a completion deadline, and providing a framework for relevant feedback and control as the audit progresses. Thus, he decides to spend an additional 17 hours planning this year's audit, including computer setup and analysis time, using CPM. Audit planning During the slow month of August 1997, Bert and Craig, the senior-in-charge of the Toys City engagement, analyzed the audit plan for Toys City. After a careful study, 22 audit areas are identified and budgeted hours for various levels of auditors are estimated (Exhibit 1). The duration...

...(Philippians 2:3-4). In regards to the impact of the servant leadership and its application to my world, I am called to be a servant of God in every aspect of my life. The Bible makes it clear to me that this means serving humanity in accordance with the higher purpose of serving God. Please note that this must be done from a Christian Worldview because simply serving people is not sufficient, this is not an indicator that a leader is serving God (1 Corinthians 13: The traits that I consider most important as a servant leader includes the ones that Jesus displayed or demonstrated such as: compassion, humility, integrity, impartiality, trustworthiness, and wisdom (Sullivan, 2004, p. 144). “The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. The Lord is good to all, and his tender mercies are over all His works” (Psalm 145:8-9). In honestly expressing me, my strengths that can be most effective in applying servant leadership on the job, home, and volunteer responsibilities, would be in this order. 1) Integrity, 2) compassion, 3) impartiality 4) trustworthiness 5) wisdom and 6) humility. These traits are synonymous to the considerations of Jesus as a role model for Christian leaders. From a Biblical perspective, a servant leader is a person who is: * Christ –centered in all aspects of...

...GM 591 Final Paper Communication and Collaboration In Today’s Air Force: The 561st Network Operations Squadron A Case Study 1. Introduction The 561st Network Operating Squadron, with about 200 personnel divided between military, government civilians, and contract personnel, operates one of the two primary network nodes for the Air Force data network. The dynamic of the organization is defined by the relationship between the military, nominally in charge but highly transient with constant rotations and deployments, and the Operations and Maintenance (O & M) contractors, who have the knowledge base and the continuity but are on edge due to contract issues and tenuous job security. Added to that tumultuous mix is my small contract of twelve people who are implementing a methodology of best practices for managing a complex Information Technology (IT) organization. This methodology, known as IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), provides a framework of processes that give shape and order to an IT operation. These three teams, the military, the O & M contractors, and the ITIL improvement team work together to provide network services for the greater Air Force, striving to maintain network availability while keeping the data secure from intrusion or compromise. 2. Problem Statement In the last four or five years collaborative computing and social networking have rapidly increased both in the business environment and in people’s personal lives....

The owner, Shelly, has a new business partner who plans to expand their property portfolio. The purpose of the report is to suggest the ways to increase profitability of current properties as well as provide insight into the type of property they should consider purchasing through analysis. II Analysis of the popularity and profitability of cottages According to the output of our spreadsheet, we can analyse the popularity and profitability of each cottage from 2011/1/1 to 2011/12/27. To find out the popularity, we calculate the times of bookings of each cottage. Seaspray is the most popular one, with 18 times of bookings out of 49 in total during the period. Seaview comes next with 17, and Gardenview 14. From the prospect of total booking days, the ranking is the same as below. Seaspray 145 days, Seaview 103 days and Gardenview 72 days, which makes the result much clearer. There are several factors that may infect the popularity. First, whether the nightly rate is comparable to other similar properties in the area. Since “Blue Waters Cottages” is located 2.5 hours from Melbourne between Lorne and Apollo Bay, we have searched the internet for some accommodation information of the similar cottages near Melbourne....

...Demetrius T. Robertson PEDS 1307 Jogging For Fitness Professor Bonnie Clark 12-WEEK PERSONAL JOGGING PROGRAM Goals & Needs A comfortable pair of running shoes is one of the most important components to have before beginning a personal jogging program. Also lose fitting clothing is important part of the regimen as well. Whether an individual want to lose weight or increase their endurance, it’s important to tailor the program to meet the goals. However, almost everyone who begins a jogging program finds his or her enthusiasm dwindling fast than they can say “Larger size that value meal please”. Goals Must attainable and realistic. My Fitness goals are listed below. 1. Losing Weight Weight loss occurs when you burn more calories than you eat. If I burn an extra 500 calories per day, I would lose a pound a week. 2. Health As mentioned in class being sedentary could lead to serious health problems. Those who do not exercise regularly may suffer from a variety of Hypo kinetic Diseases. Disease such as heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, obesity, diabetes, and low back pain. To prevent the above-mentioned diseases from occurring I am starting this jogging program. 3. Increase Endurance Going from no exercises to creating and implementing a jogging program will increase my endurance. Increase the load during the program will increase my endurance over the long haul. Stretching Exercises My stretching exercises...

...Button-Popping Pecs in Just 8 Weeks by Dr. Clay Hyght There were just four months to go before the contest, and we had to face a harsh fact: We'd made a lot of progress in the offseason, bringing up all of his weak points, but we still weren't there with his chest. A bodybuilding competitor is only as good as his weakest body part, and his chest was ... not good. Worse, we were in the trim-down phase of his contest prep, with a state championship title on the line. I had an idea for a chest routine — a chest assault, really — but I needed buy-in from Tim, the bodybuilder I was coaching. We really only had one shot, and if it didn't work, he was screwed. I was 90% certain it would, but couldn't shake my fear of that 10% chance it wouldn't. I asked if he was willing to roll the dice with an untested chest program. "I would never second-guess anything you say," he told me. "If you think it'll work, let's do it." The Routine I'm not blowing sunshine up your skirt to make you think you're getting something special when I say I rarely share any specifics of a client's program. First, he's a client, a paying customer. He's paying for a custom program, not something off-the-rack. Second, bodybuilding, whatever you think of it, involves competition, including rival competitors. If a rival has access to my client's custom program, my client has lost whatever edge he gained by hiring me. I'm spilling the beans for three reasons. First, because I'm truly excited about this...

Copyright © 2012, Richard Ivey School of Business Foundation Version: 2012-06-08 It was December 2011, and Winston Hao, founder and general manager of Datavast Inc. (Datavast), was deep in thought as he gazed out the window of his Beijing office with a cup of his favourite tea in hand. He was both excited and anxious about his company’s prospects for the future. Since the company’s inception five years ago, Hao had heavily invested time, energy, and money into building this company, which designed, manufactured, and sold cloud storage products – that is, products that stored large amounts of digital data. After recently making major adjustments to the original product, Hao’s company was finally ready to push its newly revamped product onto the market. The only question was: Who should Hao target? He expected the small-to-medium enterprise (SME) segment would be the most price-sensitive, but it could also provide the fastest growth. On the other hand,...

...Leadership Model Paper Introduction Company A has been no stranger to the economic downturn these last ten years. As most of you know, we have seen shrinking profit margins, a shortening supply of material, growing operational costs as equipment ages to maturity, and increased transportation costs as fuel prices soar. Also, the last three years have brought significant amounts of competition to our area, where we were once the dominant player. Through all of this, Company A has persisted, and continues to work hard to provide excellent service to our customers, provide competitive pricing, work closely with suppliers, and provide the best working environment possible for our employees. However, though we have persisted, we have not done so profitably. The time has come for Company A to make some significant changes structurally. Surely everyone has heard rumors of downsizing, and unfortunately, those rumors are true. We have explored every avenue up to this point, but we cannot delay any further. The following letter describes the upcoming restructuring plan, including operational and managerial expectations. It saddens me that we were unable to find a better solution than downsizing, but it is my hope that our organization will pull through this obstacle with the same persistence and grace that it has hurtled them before. Responsible Restructure Unfortunately, throughout the last decade, Company A has seen a continuous fall in profit margins and ROA. This being said, we...

...(JDT) Task 1 September 6, 2014 JDT2 Task 1 To: CEO From: Elementary Division Manager Date: September 6, 2014 Subject: Response to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 claim made by former employee. A. Constructive discharge is defined as when a worker resigns due to a hostile work environment created by the employer (elaws, 2014). This can occur when an employer makes significant changes to the terms or conditions of worker’s employment (elaws, 2014). In the case of the employee who filed a claim, the work hours were changed to 12-hour shifts, with four days on and then four days off. The four workdays can occur any of the days of the week. The former employee claimed that the workday could be on a religious holy day. In this case, there is cause to claim constructive discharge. The work hours changed significantly from when the employee was hired. To determine whether constructive discharge was used in this employee’s resignation, there are two tests. First, a reasonable person in the employee’s position would find the working conditions intolerable, and second, the employer created an offensive work environment with the intent to force the employee to quit (Constructive Discharge, 2014). B. Title VII: Section703 of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 that applies to employment decisions; mandates that employment decisions not be based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin (Gomez et al, p. 92). Protected class theory states that...

...Assignment 1 (Week 1) Nelida Wakefield American Military University Abstract Porter’s Five Forces Model is a holistic approach towards competitive strategy. The model provides a framework for the strategic direction of management teams that are seeking an edge over their competitors and additional factors that may undermine profits. The model displays the dynamics between the competitive rivals, buyer’s bargaining power, suppliers, new entrant’s threat and substitutes. The implementation of Porter’s Five Forces Model is crucial on international business practice in order to establish a successful overseas operation and reduce cost of expansion. Global business expansion has become a common practice. Modern organizations are prone to take advantage of international attractive markets that are highly profitable and offer incentives for foreign companies. Implementation of the model increases the chances of success for firms that are considering branching out or simply starting a new company overseas. The Company’s management strategic vision also benefits from Porter’s Model because it points out the forces that affect the organization’s profitability. However, Porter’s modeling techniques have some limitations such as the absence of providing meaningful advice for preventive actions and profitability based solely on fighting competitors without taking in consideration opportunities of competitive strategic alliances. In conclusion, Porter’s Five Forces Model...
