Disney’s Moana is a depiction of globalization through the eyes of a younger audience. It shows the audience the history behind polynesian culture, not only did the writers of the movie work with people of polynesian heritage, but they seemed to have the main concept behind the history of the islands. Having Moana play the lead role of the movie depicts the strength of women within years and proves to little girls that they are more than what they tell them they are.
Even though it was a storyline with sadness, it was empowering and it was filled with a lot of humour which made it made it interesting to both adults and children. It was full of adventure and chaos which equally represents what children like to do the most of.
